The two cylinder mode (Eco) makes a big difference
It is pretty amazing - was doing 70ish today in two cylinder mode. Crazy tech.

Not following - the 0-60 times are the official Seat timings.
The other figures are from Autocar road tests - the 1.4 is the exact same engine as in the Polo GT Bluemotion.
Only saying with a difference of 192/150 ps -28% (and a similar difference in torque) you would expect a larger difference in the 0-100mph time.
I may try the EcoTrainer on my Monday journey to work and see how I get on!
In other news, I am absolutely loving the car. Love the Torque of the 1.0 TSI. Nice improvement on the old 1.2TSI.
The SEAT sound is amazing. Really good quality for the cost of it. That bass!! The DSG is lovely and silky smooth. Instant changes.
Does anyone think their car has a nice exhaust note? It's a lot nicer than the same exhaust on my old car. Don't know whether it has something to do with the DSG and what mode it's in? I have no idea about those things!

Glad you're still pleased with it! Does it have a sub in the boot? Bass is ridiculous is mine without the pack! Really good system and i love carplay with apple music. Exhaust note is one of the few things I miss from the VXR tbh but it was never gunna be as nice! Overall much prefer this though.
The Cupra is 6.7 to 60 - the 1.4 is 7.6.
I sold my 63 plate cupra yesterday (1.4 twincharged variant) and have driven the new 1.4 150bhp and the cupra behaved completely differently. It felt much quicker to be honest, probably as a result of the supercharger

What age was the fabia? Could have been an older CAVE engine but still shouldn't feel flat. The CTHE would have a 'kick' in throttle response between 5k-7k revs too. It was a great car. I've got nothing against the 1.4 150 though, I nearly bought one as I fancied a manual again but went for a fiesta ST instead lolInteresting. A while back I tried a Fabia VRS with the 170ps version of that engine and was very disappointed. I had expected instant response and no lag and -but it seemed rather flat. It had DSG and a ridiculously low first which might have influenced me. By contrast the ecotsi 1.4 seemed effortlessly urgent despite its very long gears.
Been wanting to give mine a good wash, wax and hoover since I got it. Comes up a treat with a layer of wax on the body and wheels
