Is that known fact, or a just a natural assumption? The reason I ask is that we have 3 cars in the family all with economy displays. 2 are spot on (against brim to brim figures) the other is massively optimistic. A friends Passat was also quite optimistic. So it's not a universal truth that they all the same.

Trouble is that with such a big hike in power you really need to upgrade the brakes to Cupra spec and probably the cooling system too. And then there's warranty, insurance and reliability issues to consider. Is the transmission strong enough?

The Cupra brakes are only marginally bigger on the fronts and the same on the rears compared to the 1.4 EcoTsi.
Not sure where those figures come from - but suggest Cupra horses are smaller that 14ecotsi ones.

Not following - the 0-60 times are the official Seat timings.
The other figures are from Autocar road tests - the 1.4 is the exact same engine as in the Polo GT Bluemotion.
No this is the 1.0TSI, which is why I'm expecting more MPG than you guys!
It's a DSG so the green light is telling me to put my foot in the brake before starting the engine
That is odd, mine makes a huge difference when its in 2 cylinder mode which obviously you dont have but book does state yours should be higher...
