Today driving along the motorway and picked this up :( , would windscreen repair kit can repair this?

Looks like it could be okay with a repair, not sure as to maximum size (think my be 10mm diameter). Check your insurance as most policies allow free repair and if unrepairable they'll replace (only around £75 depending on glass excess) and zero effect on no claims. I had to get two windscreens on my old car last year.

I had one bigger than that and got it repaired no probes, but be quick as any bump could make it develop into a crack, had mine fixed next day and wouldn't notice it at all.

That's what happened with my first one in middle of winter, I had a little chip and thought I'll get that looked at after the festive season. Then going up the motorway on a particularly cold morning between Xmas and New Year. BANG! I thought, WTF! As there was nothing near me, then noticed massive crack along contours of windscreen from the chip. Had to wait until after new year to get the screen replaced.
