The auto wipers on my Ibiza are on the first click upwards then I have the option of how often they wipe.
Funny enough I haven't drove at night so haven't tested my rear view mirror but I'm guessing the sensor us built into the mirror itself.

Thanks for the heads up on the wipers. From what I remember the manual wasn't very clear. I'll try that tomorrow!

I think there is a sensor on the rear of the mirror but I can't see anything on the front? It doesn't have the toggle arm underneath so I assume it must be auto!

Can anyone do me a favour and let me know if there is any specific way to turn auto wipers on?

Also, can someone post a picture of their auto dimming rear view mirror? I don't seem to have any sensors on mine at the bottom which I thought you should have??

lil green light will show when its on. There is a power button for it just below the actual rear view mirror itself though, maybe it's turned off atm. click it on if so

The Polo is the same, no visible sensor or switch, so the sensor must be hidden within the mirror and there will be no option to switch it off, unless that is hidden within the MMI CAR options, I seem to remember looking at that but can't remember what conclusions I came to!

Thanks guys. Can't see anything obvious on the mirror. No switch on the underside and no light to indicate its status. There is however some sort of sensor on the rear so i'll have to wait until I can test in the dark but I think it's safe to assume it's auto dimming.

With regards to the auto lights, one flick up on the stalk seems to have done it. It did one initial wipe and hasn't done anything else since (it's not raining, for once!) so i'll see what happens next time it rains.

Mark, any further news on your arrival?? :)

Spoke to dealer today - wants me to go in on Tuesday next week to sign paperwork so I assume not long after this?

Yeah usually a couple of days, it might even be there when you go to sign! Mine was only delayed due to them waiting for SEAT CS to authorise the extended warranty, plus it was Easter bank holiday.

How you doing in yours then - still liking it?

It's brilliant. I've started to put my foot down a little more now and also used manual mode a bit. The power delivery is much smoother than the 1.2TSI it replaced. It's also quicker, well, you can feel the extra torque let's put it that way! So glad I went for the DSG. Perfect for my commute.

I'm very impressed with the interior build quality. I keep saying this but if you drove the previous Ibiza, you'll know what I mean! Feels much more 'Polo' like now.

Don't want to rain on anyone's parade - particularly not mine - BUT Seat have just dropped the list price by £2250 for the FR Ecotsi. Oddly ( or more likely not) , Seat were, a week or so ago, giving dealers £2250 off the list price, so any new car would (or could) be sold with at least that amount off - and in practise you could get quite a lot more - I got offers around £5k off for the ST. I'm going to keep an eye on prices just in case to does affect the real-world price you have to pay, but I'm bound to think it won't.

I thought this had been on for a while... I got the £2,250 off offer plus two years free servicing back in January. I got more than than off anyway via haggling but the offer was definitely on then...

Excellent - I would love the DSG box too in the 1.4. Damn you Seat!

If it was then it was not advertised on the site. As I was just about to pick up the Mrs' new 1.0 on the Friday just after the reg came out and I did another quick configurator. I went sick as it was late night and I saw the 2250 price off. I was due to pay the balance on the Friday, even with a car wow discount at more than the RRP anyway. Luckily the dealer honored the deal just before pick up :funk:

I replaced the 1.4 Copa with the 1.0 DSG and the engine is a hoot. Considering I have a Stage 2+Cupra, it's really fun to drive. Much smoother and better power delivery than the previous Ibiza.
I took a punt on the DSG as I want it for the next car but it really is hard to get it to stumble.
The spec and inside is so much more advanced than the older '11 Copa it replaced.
Decent quality and nice little touches. Covered 1400 miles already in a couple of weeks.
Really impressed so far with the android auto, full link and bluetooth setup also.

So I finally signed to buy an Ibiza ST,FR spec,1.4 EcoTsi yesterday.
The list price with all the options I picked came to £19155,I paid£14295.This discount obviously includes the £2250 Seat reduction, but still very pleased with the deal.
It may be the last of deals like this because I was told there are price increases this month.
Have been quoted a 3 month wait, which is no problem to me.

Sounds very much like my car - similar price and discount. I've gone for Alor Blue, Tech pack, rear parking sensors (pity you can't get the camera) climate, drive profile and spare wheel.
For reasons not clear to me the Seat dealer I tried the car in was very keen to put me off the colour and said the 1.4 was on 6 months delivery. I was quoted june delivery when I ordered. We shall see - quite happy to wait until September if it takes that long.

How about you?

We all have our different ideas on options!
I went for the Xenon lights (I had a Fabia a few years ago with standard lights and they were poor to the point of being dangerous.)
...plus Climate control, drive profile and tech pack in Emocion red.
A sun roof would have been nice, but you have to stop somewhere!
I might get a spare wheel off ebay when I've got the car.

Not that different really - just you are concerned about hitting things going forwards and me backwards! Does make me wonder whether a full size spare would fit - do you know? I notice too that the spare wheel is priced as a (dealer fit) accessory at £179 - last week, when I bought it was only £100 as a factory option.

I doubt that a full sized spare would,it looks like the space saver kit with tools can be got off eBay for about £100 rather than paying the dealer accessory price.
Of course if you have the wheel you will lose the extra storage space.

Just an easy question,do carpet mats come as standard?...or do I have to give SEAT some more of my money?
