Orderd myself CUPRA 290

I orderd myself the CUPRA 290 5F DSG few weeks back, this wait is pretty painfull but i'll manage specialy with this awesome forum .

-emocion red ( i didn't go for the typical more chosen CUPRA color because i had a LEON FR emocion red and like to continue on with my previous idea's).

-SEAT Sound

Called SEAT uk customer service today and have been told that my expected build date will be the last week of February. Much earlier than i expected considering i ordered on january 21st with the following spec:
Seat Leon Cupra 290 5 door DSG with the following options:
Metallic silver
Seat sound
Pano roof
ACC
Rear view camera
Lane assist
19" Multi alloys

Question is i hope the car will have the new march 16 plate??. On the order form it says MY 16 under vehicle requested.

I would imagine 'MY16' to mean 'model year 16' . Given build date of last week in Feb , I doubt your vehicle will arrive before mid March, so should get the latest reg.

MY16 is model year 2016. Which started being built on 25th May 2015 onwards. MY17 will start week 22 of this year. It has nothing to do with the receiving countries registration setup.

If you want a 16 plate - tell the receiving dealership and if they receive the car in time they will register it for you. If after March you'll get 16 anyway.

Very similar spec to mine. I ordered early November and am being told March delivery still. WTF?!

The SEAT dealer i ordered the car from said initially that it would take 8-12 weeks but probably nearer 12 weeks given the spec that i ordered. So to be told by SEAT directly that it will be built in a month is quite surprising!

Have you spoken to SEAT customer services regarding a build date or is this coming from the dealer?

That's nice to hear! Well i hope the same goes for me, they told me it could take 4-5 months. I orderd mine 2-3 weeks ago... But i'm not trying to like stalk the garage. It would be just anoying but so is the waiting withouth knowing anything.

... Delivery planned for end of June but dealer was using an unspecific production delay list, so hoping it will come sooner

Good news for me too. Ordered last week, car will be built in 5-6 weeks arty:
And another 5 or so for delivery but that's because I live where I live...

I orderd mine a month and 2 weeks ago. I'm going to check in if they know something yet. They told me it could take till june...

Ordered 13th November, estimate 16 weeks. In the end it was built in week 2 and I collected it two days ago!

How long did the transport take? My Leon FR took 2 weeks from spain to my dealer.

2 weeks from build to being in the UK although not sure exactly when it reached the dealer.

I ordered on 23 October and mine still hasn't arrived. I'm being told March now. Starting to get worried something has gone wrong.

Apparently the P is for the larger sizes (19") otherwise the 5P is the same as the 5. In the last years they have won most tyre tests... See tyrereviews dot co dot uk (I'm not allowed to post url's yet).
