Was bored so went to Euro Car Parts and got a Honda S2000 air filter to try for a laugh. Was only £11.

Sounds very weird when fitted but sort of nice lol.

Needs an additional silicone hose to extend it past the engine cover. Have refitted the OEM airbox for now.

Great job mate. I'd assume the 45 degree bend would be the same size for the 140bhp 2.0 tdi engine? Fancy an induction kit for mine might have to copy you ha.

Car looks well neat!!

Any tips on cleaning and detailing?

What product is used to dress the black trims and what snowfoam do you use, never snowfoamed a car before lol

As you can see new to the detailing world

Thanks mate.

In terms of detailing, always use the 2 bucket method when washing and a wash mitt of some kind. A claybar or clay mitt will make the surface very smooth and get rid of any bonded on contaminants, also finish off with a decent polish and then wax/sealant to protect the finish. Theres plenty of products for the black trims, currently I use Autoglym trim gel but there are better ones out there like gtechniq permanent trim restorer.

I use Valet Pro snow foam with my nilfisk power washer an foam lance.

Thought I would update the thread with what should be happening over the next few weeks/months.

As I've just been married and moved into a new house the FR has been slightly neglected of late, but that should change soon.

First off is a service which I should have done next weekend. Then once some cheques have cleared I will book it in for it's cambelt.

After that I will need to replace one of the wheel bearings, sure its one of the rears that's gone.

This weekend I should take receipt of some H&R springs as a mate bought some but then sold his FR so said I could have them (They're still new and not used).

Then I will purchase the cheap splitter mod thats mentioned in the MK2 section.

Also need to replace the front discs and pads as they've not been touched in the 3 years I've had the car.

I think I'll keep the FR for another year then look to upgrade to something bigger and comfier.

Yeah thats the one. Not sure how much difference it will make on a black car but was only £10 after some discount on eBay.

Couldnt turn the springs down for that money lol

Cheers Craig, yeah she will look better once they're on.

Everything I want/need doing is going to be close to a £1k but she shouldnt need much else for a while afterwards. (fingers crossed)
