Took delivery today.

Car is a different animal from the FR. I had a DTUK on the 1.8 and it was quick but this thing is a different league - it's handling is superb.

Notes and observations:

MY16 head unit is a must. Totally what it should have been when the mk3 launched. Less buggy and full link is excellent.

Mirrors now unfold on unlock (New?) - appreciate this could have been done via VCDS. Seems to be out the box that way now.

Door card lighting is now brighter compared to me MY14. More noticeable now.

Wind noise has increased around the B pillars. The FR was much quieter in that area.

Rear arm rest is nice touch and adds a bit of interest to the rear.

So far totally rattle free.

So I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago and I have build week 42. I asked for both myself and more for others on here because there is a lot of indecision regarding the 290.

I have been told there is no confirmation of when this is going to happen and even if the 280 is replaced with the 290. If they are doing a swap you will indeed get a 290 instead of the 280 but if it is another version which you can purchase instead of the 280 you will not. I was told it was more likely to be mid next year unfortunately :(

Anyhow bring on November I will post some pics of the Monsoon Grey with Orange line if you are all interested seen as when I been browsing here no one has done any of that certain colors (probally a reason for that )

Sounds similar...ordered 3 weeks ago on Wednesday and build week 42 - are we looking at about 4 weeks from build to delivery?

Hola peeps!

So just ordered my first Seat. I am use to VAG cars but this will be the first time Ive dipped into the Spanish side of VAG. I have ordered a Leon Cupra ST DSG! I had the test drive and was very surprised how planted it felt, thought the suspension was ace. There was quite a bit of wheel spin if you floor your foot down though but still plenty of smilies driving it.

I added a few options.

Alor Blue (although one dealer I went to said it was discontinued)
Winter Pack
Pano Roof
Black Pack
Multi Spoke Alloys
Full Link
Seat Sound
Reversing Camera

I kind of need the car ASAP so hoping no delays.

3-4 months is about average wait....worth it though. Without doubt the best car I have driven. So much better than my last car, a GTI.

Just been told mine will be week 42 build and expect about 3 weeks delivery. I want it now!! Had to sell the other motor so this lack of car in the now colder climate is not great.

Like you went for the monsoon grey and orange pack, think it looks epic :D:D

Ordered mine about the 8th of September, was originally told it would be about January but they told me a few weeks ago it would be week 42 it's getting built. Hopefully a further 3 weeks delivery at the most.

That would be a quick order.

Reading the Top Gear magazine and they say they would suggest upgrading the sat nav. Is there a big difference? Not to sure what it really adds.

I think the only difference I can see, correct me if im wrong, is that it has a his resolution display and DVD play back but that's all I can see is the difference. I added the full link but never upgraded to Navigation System High couldn't justify the £500+ extra.

Just noticed that myself, either that or there is no stock but would be unsure as to why you couldn't order them in but wait a bit longer.

I was surprised when they said it would be ready by November from originally January, either the dealer is wrong or I got lucky  hoping its the latter.
