Leon LED Headlight adjustment.

Afternoon all.

I've read various posts explaining how to raise the LED headlights. I've found mine to be WAY too low on dipped beam. They're amazing on full beam I'd just like to raise them a little.

I was just wondering if any of you had success in doing so and how much did you turn the adjusters please?

There has been some issues with them pointing too low, mostly the driver side. Have a search through and you'll find some. Seat dealer had mine in 3 or 4 times before they solved it by ultimately replacing the drives side headlight, not noticed the issue since. What age is yours?

I adjusted mine by I think half a turn, much better.This is of course you dont have the issue where they dont self level that some people have had, but mine have so far been fine.

There is a big white screw on the top of each light. Park the car 2 metres away from a wall and experiment turning the screws a small amount. Remember how close you are to the wall as even moving c2-3cms up the wall equates to a big change 100 meters away.

You will soon know if you do it too far as everyone will flash you!!

Or pop to a friendly MOT station.

It cost me £5 to use the beam setting machine. ( some may let you do it free )

Mine are now set exactly on the correct height and are better than when it arrived.

The only thing I haven't done on mine, and I wonder if they ARE too low, or it's just the beam pattern. Will ask my local garage to use their beam setter....

Vcds is required to change the brightness of the DRL or the motorway lights settings, but not the beam angle. I can't say I remember whether it's clockwise for up or down.

Make sure you turn the correct screw. There are two, one on top which moves the beam left and right, and one at the rear bottom of the light unit which moves the beam up and down. If you look closely at the sections within the lamp itself you will see them move when you turn the screw.

Could some kind soul guide me to this manual, I have searched and find nothing?
Failing that, could someone post pictures of the adjustment screws?
I can see a torx screw head that maybe an adjuster.

Consensus is that its screw TWO that alters height... but mark where you start from, and itll be obvious once you start.

Can confirm that it IS screw 2...anticlockwise raises the beam.
Just done mine!

Adjuster was quite stiff, so make sure you use a 6mm hex key, rather than a screwdriver.

How far did you turn the adjuster, so far I've heard ½ turn and ¾ turn are ok?
