I've put an order in for an FR 184 TDI this week, which has come back as expected delivery mid-June.

This is from a "stock" supply, which drives the relatively short lead time apparently - we'll see soon enough, but I know it is going to drive me batty waiting for it!

I read somewhere (can't remember where now!) that it takes about 3 days to actually build the car, then they have a final inspection then goes to port to await transport.

I am sure Seat produced a video sequence of the Leon being built, the video is shortened to 2 minutes but is 19 hours in real time.....

I got confirmation over the weekend that I'll have the car this Wednesday or Thursday. The dealer is aiming for Wednesday, which is April 29th. The car was ordered on February 19th, which gives me a build time of 10 weeks.

The original estimate I received was 14 weeks, which was then revised to 12 weeks, but they've still beaten that.

Great news.....out of curiosity what was your build week?

Needless to say, I won't be sleeping until Wednesday night! Can't wait. It feels like it's been 6 months, but in fairness to SEAT, 10 weeks is good for a new bespoke build.

Mine got built last week, so it looks like roughly a month from being built to picking up from dealer, so end of May for me with a bit of luck!

I was told, by my dealer, that it takes around a week to get from factory to dockside in Barcelona, then a further two to three weeks to get to the dealership. So your estimate of about a month fits with that.

Many thanks Paul for that info, useful for my planning purposes!

Though he did tell me he'd seen a car a few weeks ago only take 12 days to get from Barcelona to the dealership forecourt. I think that sounds far more palatable than a month! Generally the hold ups are around ground transport of the vehicle once its on UK soil.

I placed my order for a Leon ST FR on 31st January.
I got a call from my on 25th March to say it had been built and was on the way to the port.
I then got a call on 13th April to say it had arrived at the dealers.

So for me that was a couple of days short of three weeks from being built to at the dealers.
In all it was exactly 11 weeks from placing the order to collecting the car.

Wow that's incredibly quick - think you will be the 2nd person on the Forum to have the new Navigation High - be interested to know what you think of it in due course, especially Mirrorlink?

So will I and and the dealer. Trouble is my S5mini won't be compatible... doh
