Got in contact with my dealer today for an update.

The estimated build week was last week.
According to the Seat system my car is in the production stage at the moment.

The estimated delivery date according the system at the dealer is 9th of June.

It seems a bit long don't you think? Build week 16/17 and delivery week 24?

I was told week 17 which is this week but it must have been built last week as SEAT UK tell me it on its way to port. Hopefully Ill get my grubby mitts on the cupra in a few weeks.

I've just been told that my order is locked, and has a build allocated of Week 20, which should put delivery in early June.

Looks like they have a fair few 280 DSG's planned in for BW20. I've also been given this week slot. When did you order Paul ?

Same as me. Wonder if they will be behind each other on the production line ha !
Any extras ?

Yeah, just a few...

Adaptive Cruise, Black Line, Black leather seats, Driver Assistance pack, SEAT Sound and Winter Pack. Feeling a bit stingy for not getting the safety pack to be honest!

Hi

After an impressive deal and test drive I've ordered a FR ST 1.4TSi and a few toys. Ordered 2 weeks ago, dealer has said will chase Seat for a build date this week and original estimate was 12-14 weeks from order.
How long until most people got a build date confirmed?
Cheers

Will be very interested to see the black line on the grey. Sounds a good combo. I was a phone call away from adding the black line to beat the alloy issues, until they told me i had a build week. Still wish i had gone for that blue though.. i feel stingy with the solid red

Took 4 weeks for my build week, and its still provisional. Gets confirmed 2 weeks before production, so can move forward or backwards.

Yes I couldn't bring myself to spend £500 on the black line, though kinda wish I did, as every photo I've seen looks the business - doh!!

Yeah im in the same boat, i'm also interested to see which cars are MY16 spec.. i know theres talk of the dutch cars being built with the MY16 from this week. It holds a massive advantage for us with 5.8 to 6.5 display.. carplay, rear armrest etc. Still seems to be no confirmation about the UK market though

Sods law they will start building them 1 week after we all have ours on the driveway.

I have asked my dealer about MY 2016 production and whether my build, projected to be week 17/18, will be 2016 spec, though not sure the spec is all that different for an ST Cupra, especially as I have already paid extra for the 6.5" screen Navigation High option? I am waiting to hear back as I type this!

However, might have specced the reverse camera and like the idea of the USB socket being in the centre console too!

It seems to vary depending on the dealer! I was only told last week that my car was in production that was 6 weeks after order they are expecting delivery towards the end of May. I was only told because I emailed them, otherwise I'd be none the wiser! I've been less than impressed with my dealer's communication skills, though I understand many are better than this, they told me nearly a month ago that they would be in touch 'at least once a week' so I left it nearly 3 weeks before emailing them to ask where the car was upto!!

Yeah but because MY16 basically includes the nav high minus the hdd if i was you i'd be questioning why im paying £900+ for a hdd ? Surely you must get a partial refund if we all get the 6.5 when we expected and payed for 5.8.

Yes good point R19, hadn't though of it in those terms, though think it would start to get complicated what with the massive discount via the broker!

I saw a Dynamic Grey with Black Line (and one with Orange Line) at the Goodwood FoS moving motor show last year. I was instantly sold on the Black Line, took a few hours for me to love the dynamic grey when I realised every time I looked at it the colour had changed slightly.

I do wish the Orange Line was available without the orange alloys, Dynamic Grey with Orange grill surround and mirrors looked absolutely awesome!
