mine watched me climb onto a small stepladder, fall off it onto a low brick wall and fracture three ribs.
SEAT assistance no good for this....

OUCH! You have my sympathies. I cracked a couple, ten or so years ago. Unbelievebly painful when coughing, sneezing, opening doors & rolling over in bed & many other things. It starts to ease after a couple of weeks but don't overdo things. I re-cracked one after five weeks whilst climbing!
The best tip is to get as much vitamin D as possible, in tablet form preferably.
Good luck.

Sounds nasty. I had a busted rib after CPR (looong story) and sneezing was the worst, I thought my chest would explode :(
Hope it gets better soon

Meppershall Beds.
thanks for your concern, guys:)
coughing and hiccuping are really painful. Even breathing can hurt. Sneezing? don't want to think about that!
didn't know I'd actually cracked them until today (accident was Tuesday). Was living with it until last night - turned over in bed and just got stuck; hurt too much to move and hurt too much to stay the way I was laying, so my wife drove me to hospital early.
Over every bloody pothole and bump on the way, too fast round roundabouts - good job no speed humps. Although she did manage to catch the kerb on one corner....we were in her Saab 9-5 on the comfy seats and tyres, not the FR, thank heaven.
so popping co-codamol for next few weeks. No driving for a few days...

We have just done a meet of Blackbirds at the Ponderosa Café - Horse shoe pass - wales.

30 Blackbirds all riding around the welsh roads.

Lucky man, you got off lightly, ladders are well dangerous, try googling "Jason Anker" who fell off a ladder and ruined his and his families life. My work has had him giving talks from his wheelchair about how it really can happen to you, strong stuff and makes you think.
Hope you recover soon as having no motor is no fun.

Gave my Dad a shot tonight on quiet country roads, Had a huge smile on his face and constantly saying "how can you get this much power and acceleration from a 1.4" :)
