Hi all im a first time owner of a black FR TDI 170 leon and as such I'm just getting used to the car . so far i have only made some small changes ( 19 inch oems alloys , eibach sport lines )
car is great to drive but feels slightly under powered at times and occasionally has a slight run on when you lift accelerator (noticeable when lift in at 3000 rpm)
doors sound a little tinny on closing can door catches be adjusted ?
dpf the ever present do i or don't i go for dpf delete ?
there is a humming/buzzing in engine bay when engine not running any suggestions (stops after approx 30 secs)

is the btcc rear spoiler the only real option for pre facelift (really like the facelift options out there)

as a heads up the sport lines can be got ex germany (klapper autoteile) for around 150 euro (stg 110

For the doors id say to sound deaden the door skin and trim. Im sure you can adjust the plates in the b piller.
i have recently bought a fr tdi and everyone i speak to says "to gut" the dpf and weld it back up altho it needs a map to turn the warning light off.
the noise im lead to believe it link to the fueling of the car and is normal.
do you have a link to the eibechs.

Hi mate I also have just got an fr pd170.. Mine also seems to run on slightly when you let off.. Hopfully they all do?!

Regards the dpf, if your planning on getting the car remapped I would get rid of it or gut the original ... Most tuning company's wont map the pd170 without removing the dpf as it causes to many problems.

Any one else got the slight run on issue? Funnily enough I was going to make a thread for it when I came across this one.

I'm finding out new things with the car all the time, latest thing was to fold the mirrors in with the knob in centre of car.. I was holding it down to get them to fold and I didn't think the switch worked. Until I twisted it all the way at around

Yeah I'm learnin as I go along too as regards the folding mirrors when yA lock the car with the remote key hold down the button and all windows go up then mirrors fold ...when yA press the unlock button mirrors auto fold out again

Strange mine don't fold out with unlock, they fold out when keys go in ignition.. Also if you've got the dual climate control unit, you can lock both temps together with holding the auto button.. Saves adjusting 2 separately.

Anyone else with the slight run on issue when letting off throttle.

My mirrors only open out when i turn the key in the ignition, but close when button is held. I tried holding open..... windows drop but nothing with the mirrors..
is the running on possibly th dualmass flywheel. ..... i have same issue too... and putting it down to the weight of the flywheel.

my mistake guys the mirrors dont fold out on pressing the unlock button same as yourselves .. car going for a service tomorro so will see if it improves things any also asked dealer to check if injectors were ever replaced as there are numerous posts about injector failure on bmn engine and replacement foc programme by seat (not a recall though )
