Hi

Can any one help or advise please?
I have LED side lights fitted and I only have an error message with the left one. What can I do? Or who do I see? I can turn lights on ten off and it goes away but I don't want to keep doing that

Thanks

Im no help but I have the exact same problem. Switching the bulbs around makes no difference, its always the left one. Im currently looking at some more expensive error free bulbs. Maybe throwing money at it will solve the problem

I bought some resistor wires from ebay for my LED sidelights as they were throwing up errors. Its fixed that but i still get them flickering for a few seconds.

Did you get error free Can Bus LEDs? Those have built in resistors but even on the later facelift cars which have particularly sensitive bulb warning detection circuitry, they can still cause a fault to be flagged up.

It does involve some element of trial and error to find LEDs that work without illuminating the bulb warning light. Which LEDs did you get? The Parts-u-Like bulbs seem to be the most reliable but even those have been known to have issues on some cars. It all a bit of pot luck unfortunately.

The high wattage resistors wired in parallel can help but you can get sometimes get other side effects as already mentioned, and you also need to make sure you mount them somewhere from away plastic items because they can get quite hot.

Hi guys I just used the LED error free canbus sidelight bulbs 501's

And for my reg plate bulbs I tried lots of bulbs but in end I had to buy the whole connectors for the error to go both very easy to fit

Mine throws a left side fault too, I just turn my lights on, wait about 3 seconds and the fault clears. It just seems that it's something you have to live with if you want to run LED's.

R was the same. Ran LED drl's , sidelights, numberplate and reversing light. All (except reversing light) threw an error now and again, cleared it same way you did. Found some LED's worked fine (no errors) but segments would start to fail. Number plate lights were worst for throwing errors, ended up doing a 'bodge' involving scotchloks and a bulb holder :D

OK, so your car is obviously one that doesn't even like the decent PuL LEDs.

I was thinking of the aluminum heatsink type load resistors that you need to slice in and mount somewhere yourself but you could possibly try these from PuL that are just plug and play with 501 LEDs...

I will try that, seems simple enough to install even for me!!

As said all other LEDs haven't thrown an error yet just the left side my message is giving unless it decided once that is sorted it will throw another message!!

Did it throw all error messages for each one on screen??

buy cheap buy twice! the more SMD's you have on a bulb the less likely it is to error. I have 18 SMD canbus error free ones and had no issues - 2 years on they're still running strong. cost me £15 for a pair though!

Used to throw odd ones. One day it'd be the right drl, another it'd be the left sidelight. Numberplate ones were more regular till I sorted them. Did have a plan to sort drl's & sidelights but never did it as it was sold and replaced with a Mk3.
