Hi. I know its an old thread but as a new member i just came across your great mods. Firstly id like to say your car look really good and sorry to hear that someone who decided to get few ££ by your hard work has steal your stereo. I own leon 1.6sx as well since january and looking to doing few bit and bobs to it. Ive only put some alloys on at the moment. I came accross cupra rear bumper for £30 which will match my colour. I was wondering if its straight swap between standard one and cupra for rear?? Did you had to get any other parts to have it fitted?? Cheers. I see you'r local as well as im from dudley ;D

First of all I'm glad you had a look at my thread... If it's a copy bumper (ie carbon fibre) you are wasting your time as they easy crack and sometimes don't even line up....but if it's a genuine then you have got a bargain so well done on that....

Yes you will need side adapters they will screw onto the wheel arch....all the bolts you take of from your old one can be used for the new one and saves you some money there too...you will also need an adapter which goes over the exhaust if I remember right....just take your time and you will be fine make sure you gt someone helping you.....you will also need to remove the panels on the inside of the boot so you can get to the nuts which hold the bumper on...

Good luck

Hi. Thanks for the reply ;) yeah it is a geniue bumper. I found it on scrappy in great condition apart from few minor scratches. I dont think the guy knew it because when i asked him for seat leon bumper he said he havent got one and then i saw the cupra bumper on side. Had it for £30 ;D. Where can i get the side adapters from and part numer would be great if you got it?? Thanks mate. By the way, I saw someone looking into my car yesterday but run off on his bike when i get out from house. Might have been looking at my stereo as i left the panel in ;/

You got a good deal there then.....not worth the risk with the scumbags out there......keep it locked and secure mate....

You will need to go to the stealers and tell them it's a Cupra bumper and you need the side adapters and exhaust cover they will have all part numbers rest of the nuts and screws you can use from your old bumper, but I would recommend you get an extra 5 or six maybe more Just in case......
