Has any one successfully retrofitted parking sensors that work with the display?

I have a ST SE and was looking to do so. just need to find out if its possible and where to buy the parts?

Cheers in advance

I asked the same question and Raven has found a website to supply the parts

I think its a DIY. You can find a complete kit at carsystems.pl for ~£400.

I dont mind the electrical portion just a bit scary drilling holes into your bumper. I did phone a dealer and its £250 for the front and the same again for the back and around 3 hours labour (just for the rear). The complete diy kit does sound good though.

You need to make sure that it shows in the Centre Display not just a buzzer like some aftermarket units do just checked the carsytems one and it shows it working but be aware it has to be coded via a dealer or Vag com /I]

Yeah I have vcds. In terms of cable routing etc is it a nightmare to do?

Could not say I fitted them on my Audi A3 and when I took the bumpers off the holes were marked but it as a simple buzzer / led type
Routing the cables should no be bad for the rear as you can go under the carpet / Sill but its getting to the unit that would be the hardest As them if the have fitting instructions

Sorry cant be of more help

My other half has an Ibiza FR, rear parking sensors where retro-fitted by the dealer, only a simple buzzer, however the cost of £250.00 included supply, fitting and painting to match the car colour and the dealer was responsible for drilling and cutting the holes in the bumper, their problem if they got it wrong! The sensors work well and do the job. I would not want to drill holes in the bumper in case of mistakes. My Leon FR has park pilot so front and rear parking sensors came as standard.

Just like the Cupra 280, would not want to drive without them now.

Seastormer, agreed, I would not want to be without the parking sensors. Retrofitting parking sensors is a headache, specify these when ordering a new car, or get the dealer to fit afterwards, any problems is then there responsibilty, a matter of personal choice I guess.

Personally I still find it utterly baffling that Seat do not offer a rear view camera option. You can have it on an Ibiza but not a Leon. Go figure!

Yes, I know they can be retrofitted, but not without great expense or a massive headache!

I got my front and rear parking sensors retrofitted by Poolle retrofits. Has the optical parking display too. Not cheap though. TBH although it looks good, if I'd known at the time I arranged it you could get flush style sensors that were not OEM without the OPS for half the price, I'd have done it that way.

I'm also rubbish with most DIY stuff, but if you can do it, fair enough.
