Well today I thought I would give the interior a good detail and decided that because it's so simple to remove the front seats that I would give it a good deep clean.

Found some money hiding away.

Took me almost 5 hours in total, but well worth it.

.

You do know that's only 6 pence an hour...........you could've surely made more at your local hand carwash? :D

That was only the drivers side, was another 40p on the passenger side haha :p

Why not mate especially as it's something you enjoy! Who knows that could be the start of a new business for you......

Lol will you give discount to SCN members :D

Yeah definitely worth a try. Yeah SCN members would, but think you're a little too far away lol.

Love the look of your motor Matt on the rota's think it suits the mk2 really well ;)

I tried it once before but couldn't get much interest, but then again my heart wasn't in it back then. I do enjoy doing it now.

Well as the car was performing a regen almost every other day I thought I would have the car Terracleaned. It's something I wanted doing anyway so thought I'd bite the bullet and have it done.

I used a company called The Diesel Doctor, who came to my house and I must say his service was very good.

I took it for a quick spin around the block while he was still here and I have to say I could feel the difference instantly. The engine seemed much quieter and a hell of a lot smoother. Seemed to pick up the power far better.

Could all be in my head but it feels very good. Will be able to tell a little more when I pop out later.

I also changed my sidelight bulbs for some Samsung ones.

Sorry to bring up an old part of the thread. Your MTEC sidelight bulbs looked as if they had a slight blue tinge to them. Did it appear that way in person? I was thinking of getting the Cosmos Blue MTEC dipped headlights and thought they might look good together with that blue tinge. Thanks!

Also, how much was the Terraclean if you don't mind me asking? Wouldn't mind getting that done to mine.

Sounds like your happy with the Terraclean mate, will get mine done next month I think

Yeah definitely feels nice and smooth & mpg seems much better, however on my run out last night it regen'd straight away, though that could of been because of the terraclean. Hasn't sorted the slight hesitation when flooring it in 3rd though.

I think I'm going to have to ask Big Fish to take the map off for a week an see if that makes a difference. He said he'll do the DPF delete for £200 though

Yeah the MTEC sidelights had a blue tinge. I have LED sidelights in now though.

Terraclean was £108, though I could of had it done for £99 at a local garage but they don't do it on weekends when I'm free.

I'm loving the look of this, and don't know whether its good or not, but you're giving me more ideas for mine... ;)

Couple of questions though, how have you got on with the 3/4 size front plate, I really like the idea of a smaller front plate but don't wish to get pulled for it! And if you know, how do you get around the Police ear-bashing by having the original plate in the boot? Just tell them you'll swap it or something?

And do you have any photo's of the spacers on your Leon? Followed a link from another thread to see that they looked like but i've scanned your whole thread and couldn't spot anything...

Many thanks and I think I'll have to keep an eye on this thread so keep up the good work!!

Thanks mate.

So far I've had no problems with the front plate (touches wood), but yeah I just carry the original in the boot in case I do get pulled for it.

Photos of the spacers fitted are on page 8, but not the best photos as I fitted mud flaps at the same time.

:)

Thanks, I'm even more tempted by the plate then!

And just looked back at page 8 but the photos aren't loading up on the post, just showing the little image symbol

Yeah looks much wider with the mud flaps and spacers.

Update on the Terraclean, before it was done the car was performing a regen almost every other day. Since its been done it hasn't performed one since straight after the Terraclean was done, so that's almost 3 days now.

I know I'll be jinxing myself but it's certainly made a difference. Engine is so much smoother.

Now just need to sort the flat spot in 3rd when booting it hard and maybe treat myself to some springs.

After speaking with Seat UK earlier I found out my car hasn't had it's injectors changed on the recall, even though I was told they had when I bought the car.

So now it's booked in with Seat a week tomorrow to have them changed for free on the recall.

Hoping it will cure the hesitation when accelerating hard.
