Did you have to get longer bolts when you put the 15mm spacers on

Yeah they came with longer bolts.

Looking good, and very shiny!

Does anyone have the Triple R front splitter on their car, and if so, does it have the same fitment issues?

I believe the front ones are a perfect fit.

WTF! That fitment is terrible, thanks mate you've just saved me £120 :D

very surprising they're supplying them like that.

cars looking good though!

Like I said it's partly due to the 6mm sticky pads I used. I believe with smaller ones it will sit much nicer, but yeah they need to be better out of the box. I'm glad I got mine nearly half price :D

Thanks Daniel, front one ordered now so no going back!!

Luckily I dont need the rear as I have just bought a Cupra R which has one as standard :D

Did you buy your rear one straight from Triple R? If so, how long did it take to arrive?

I didnt buy it off them. I got mine second hand at almost half price due to another member selling his Leon. I think there delivery times are usually pretty good though.

Another little update....

With my dash being flocked and black, the silver bottom of the steering wheel has been bothering me for a while. So yesterday after I fitted the diffuser I removed it off the steering wheel and started sanding it down ready for primer.

My main concern is how I'm going to keep the FR badge from getting sprayed, so I tried to mask it off which proved tricky, though the tape hasnt stuck well so will need to re-do it.

Anyway here are some progress pics. Will try and finish it tomorrow. If it doesnt look good I may send it to be flocked.

How it started

Sanded and FR badge masked.

Will update this tomorrow hopefully.

I thought the rears was for the facelift? Or that's how I picked it up from the triple r website

Rear bumpers are the same pre-fl & facelift, but they do have them listed in the facelift section for some reason.

Managed to do little more on the steering wheel part earlier. I cut out another mask for the FR badge out of double sided sticky pads, which worked much better than the original one I did.

I also put a few coats of primer on as seen below. Will be adding a few coats of gloss black when I've finished this update.

Yeah very easy, they just prise off with a small flat blade screwdriver. I imagine it would be hard to get the cupra writing a different colour?

Cool that will make a huge difference regards the fitting.Have canceled my order now due to these fitting issues and would rather spend the money on an intake.Going to go gloss black with the current valance I think.

Yeah can understand that and I wouldnt of got one at full price. Only reason I did as it was so cheap, having said that the fitting issues aren't 'that' bad really, but you would expect it to be perfect out of the box especially as Triple R took years to finally release it.

I've been offered a brand new front splitter for £60 too :)

I probably will get it but, I shouldn't be spending money on it at the moment as I was laid off from work a week before Xmas.

Gun metal will look great and a nice change from the usual gloss black that people tend to go for.

It is really a nice car with a powerful engine. The SEAT Leon FR cleverly offers something that looks like a natural VW Golf GTI competitor with a range of cost efficient engines that won’t break the bank to run.

A little more progress today on the steering wheel. I've finished with the gloss black and have literally just put a nice thick layer of lacquer on.

First layer

Final few coats

Should have it refitted tomorrow.
