Ask them to supply it with the 18" alloys off the 265 instead. I reckon that would make it a better car overall.

You know, I probably would have ordered the 265 if it came in 5-door guise in the UK. Sadly it's a 3-door only for us. However, I don't think I want to cause any more delay or confusion at Seat, they seem to be struggling as it is without me adding to their list! Crossing my fingers the wheel supplier pulls their finger out.

As said before, ordered a cupra 280 @ week 10.

Still no fixed production date, right now it looks like it "could" be build in the middle of november.
There is even no guarantee that it will be delivered in december. Don't really know what to say here.
I had read about people who ordered their cupra after me and got it long before me...

Nope it's not a problem with the dealer and he did not forget to order the car - thats for sure.

I think its clearly an issue with Seat them selves rather than any dealer. I ordered week 20 and have now have a confirmed build week. No ordering system what so ever.

Wow, long time just to get a build week. What options did you spec ?

I know on the Golf forum it seems apparently dealers have a car allocation. If they exceed their 3 month allocation your car will not be put into the build system until the next 3 month allocation for your dealership (atleast that's how I understand it, forgive me if I am wrong). Maybe it's similar for SEAT ? they are VAG after all.

Allocation is certainly the issue but there is people who have ordered well before me and still don't have build weeks.

Well my finance company said they will speak to several suppliers to find who can supply it quickest, so hopefully I won't be waiting more than 12 to 16 weeks.

Well has of yesterday there was no Cupras built ready for sale unregistered. Also depends on your spec.

Well they said it will be factory ordered so the provisional date is January 15th. But they said it will change when they have a more accurate picture..

Ordered a 280 5dr DSG with black/white leather, SEAT sound and winter pack.

Did you order your car with "bucket seats"?
If so, I will quote what my sales person had informed me:
Quote
...I am currently checking the status and SEAT informs me that the car will be produced in week 45. The main “problem” on production are the bucket seats. They slow down the process...

For your information, I have ordered mine (5dr 280 manual, dynamic grey with bucket seats) on week 23 (in the Netherlands) and they had told me that production week was around week 32-34.

Fingers crossed and waiting for the week 45.

Yesterday I've picked up my Cupra Dynamic grey 5drs.! Too bad I have to work today, but tomorrow I'm gonna give it a go... After a few km's the smile isn't coming off my face for a long time :))) I will post pics after some tweaks I have to do.... The DSG is working superb by the way!

I picked up my Black Cupra yesterday (Friday) as well. From order to me driving it was around 12 weeks. I mentioned the delays that some people were experiencing to my dealer and they were surprised as they said they get a turn-around of around 3 months.

Anyway, the car looks and feels great. I was surprised by how good the ACC is as well on a manual for the painful long Motorway trips. On a DSG, it must be even better.

Time for a little run to the coast (obviously in the car) :)

I have no idea, there hasn't been any changes this year they have only added performance pack as an option, every thing else is the same. Why do you ask.

there is some MY14 for sale at the dealers and if there som been some Changes for MY15 it might Worth wait until a new one is built
