the wellycooler had no research and development, thats a cheapo chinese cooler and one of the best intercoolers you can buy.
no mate i just choose to remove it to help cooling and because the air con in a VAG car is absolutely useless.
Okay, I spent ages looking around and looked at Jreedy's link, and the Chinese copy is an identical version of the Darkside development kit, and I mean identical. Mine arrived today, and I scoured over it and it's quality is spot on, and all the fittings and and pipe work is spot on also! Gonna take a pop at installing it tomorrow, I will log the intake temperatures before and after and let you know how I get on!

To be fair if I didn't have a deal with Darkside, I still don't think I'd be able to get the eBay one, I just worry about quality of materials & craftsmanship/ manufacturing tolerances. With someone like DS you have a reputable company to fall back on.
But saying that, you don't know if their reputable if you don't risk it.
When spending money on my car I'd rather have the big names and slightly higher prices for
1) recognition to other people
2) build it properly with tried and tested parts
3) I'm a parts snob.
But! Hopefully this little bargin will slot into the above.
Yeah I'm generally very fussy over buying parts, but it is literally identical, it looks like Darkside have imported a load of these and then just whacked their logo onto it!! It comes with all the pipework and clips and connectors for £189! And the import tax was £3.50 as they marked it as only being worth $30 on the invoice! Lol..
Darkside, THS and Airtec probably did import them put there name on and increase the price by £200-300. ****ing robbing *******s.

If I had bought the clips etc in the first place then it would've been a finished job now, I'll have to find the links and post them up later
I run the Revo Stasis Eurojet intercooler (which is the exact same as the THS made in the same factory) without the aircon pump or unit with smaller pulley belt. Works really well along with WMI with cooling under ambient temperature 
So far my intercooler has cost me £309.00, it has larger end tanks than the standard S3, installed by myself.

I just can't deal without aircon... Depresses me.. Haha. Maybe relocation would be better for me lol.
