As per my previous post I have just removed the Fisher Price CD player and replaced it with an RCD310 LED version.
I have added a fused switchable live from the fuse box an wired it into PIN 16 so that it powers up and functions correctly.
I also bought an ipod charging cable from ebay which connects fine into the quadlock connector. The RCD310 had the aux in function enabled and I have set it to ON.
Thing is I do not have any ipod sound, I am unsure if the cable works OK or not at this stage, it's wired in correctly, but my question is, do I need to change something in VAG COM / VCDS to enable AUX even though it seems to be working on the actual unit?
It seems odd I would need to do this, but I guess the more modern setups are a bit of a mystery until you are used to them.
Or do I need to do anything to register the fact that I have changed the radio itself even though it works?
Also, I have no sound in the Right Front door, no tweeter or main. This never worked on the previous CD player either, wires seem to be intact both ends, would this be a CANBUS error possibly?
SOMEONE HELP!!! cheers.
