How is your set different from the canbus kits you can get on eBay for like £50, and also how much do you charge. Mine is a 08 plate K1.

I think you have got a bit confused by the sounds of it. There are two elements here, one is the actual headlights which are retrofitted with bi-xenon projectors to allow a decent light output. The other element is that you use HIDs in these projectors...which is where I think you are getting confused.

There is no real difference in the kits you get off ebay for £50 however you can pick up a set for about £35 from Hids direct and they provide a 2 year warranty and you can also choose your bulb colour (I'd go for 5000k or 6000k and make sure its only 35W bulbs!).

If you want to discuss further, drop me a mail at [email protected]

Cheers

Rob

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Your service is to change the original projectors (designed for halogen lamps) to xenon projectors?
Will this then make them road legal (not that it will affect whether I buy them or not lol) and will you need me to give you my headlamps while you do it (not a problem, I'm from Birmingham).
Also how much do you charge.
Finally I'm assuming this would make it more aesthetically pleasing too?

Hi guys, as rob stated correctly I'm still around and rob I hope your well!

The lights are still available although I have split the headlights again so I will be selling the projectors in their housing that rob made for me.

You would have to split your original lights and just swap them in by taking your existing housing out. Very straight forward and the hardest bit is patience splitting your headlights apart.

So yes the projector lamps are still for sale and I also have a HID kit to go with it too ;)

Chances are originals will be reflective housing and not projectors, hence the reason that we want to swap them out for the projectors. As for the service I'm pretty sure Rob can install them for you into the original headlights but will require the headlamps sent to him or you give him enough money to get you a 2nd set so he can work on those instead.

Alternatively you can buy mine off me and got them yourself. The hardest part is heating up the headlamps and splitting the lens apart so you can start replacing the reflective housing for projector lamps. I did this mod but ended up selling the car so didn't install the lights.

However Rob is the one to speak to as he's the expert on here ;)

Oh and they look a 100 times better than standard lights and light output will be million times better.

OK, I'll correct you :D

The halogen lamps are just basic reflectors, not projectors. What I do is get a new set of headlights, open these up, install bi-xenon projectors and shrouds, install the relevant wiring inside the headlights etc. I can also paint the inside of the lights and add DRL's etc.
These lights are road legal..and as above I would supply new lights....as you live in Birmingham its easy for collection too!
Cost...it varies depending on what you want but your looking at a cost of £260 upwards depending on what you want.
Aesthetically pleasing?....of course....and you can actually drive in the dark too as they give great light output! ;)
