Had to renew my insurance yesterday. Sky came up with a great deal with all mods declared so that's sorted for another year :D

My block of alloy turned up, 5 hours later and I have what looks like a pair of caliper brackets.

Quick test fit before finishing them up

Need to get some braided lines next, have ordered some 5.1 performance motul fluid from opi oils to.

Love the Bridgeport! Long time since I seen one of that era. Beats the crap out of all the Robodrill, 5 axis etc in our place. Caliper brackets are ace by the way.

Looking good Adam. Those brackets look solid - no flex from those bad boys. I've become a little concerned with my brackets as I had to mill out the brackets a bit to fit the larger discs. Hopefully they don't shuffle under long use... I might have some new ones made with the correct hole pattern in the future should I get a wiff of them shifting at all

Hopefully they'll be on soon? :)

Hopefully they won't flex being 41mm thick :cartman:

Which holes did you file? The M12 bracket to hub? I don't reckon they will move to be honest, if they did you might be able to put a insert into the bracket to give you a 12mm round hole again?

Won't be on for a while I can't fit them without the new wheels and there still in bits waiting to be painted ... And I only have 2 tyres.

Although the calipers are new they do have a few chips and marks so I'll prob repaint them. Need some braided lines to.

Defiantly going to be buying a lottery ticket this week :help:

Can you remember if the standard caliper connector on the front brake line is straight or is it 90 degree like the conversion ones?

Cheers guys, the brackets and brake bells are ready to go for anodising now. I did enquire about having my wheels anodised to but it was a lot of hassle so sticking with the paint.

They're not shaped like the new ones; they're a brass pipe approx 5cm in length and kind of shaped like a hook. I have one in the shed which I can take a picture of tomorrow for you, if that helps?

That would be very helpfull if you could mate. I'm just trying to work out weather I'm going to buy the kit you have or a front and rear kit for a standard Cupra R. I did send Hel a message to see if they could supply the conversion fronts with a set of rears 3/4" longer then standard .... They didn't bother to reply tho.

I seem to have a major fitment problem! This is with my new 19's to

It's catching where the split rim lips bolt together.

I will think of something to make it fit. I refuse to move the caliper as it looks really smart where it is :D

Just a quick question the mock hub/swivel you are using. It doesn't look like it's the same as the lcr/tt etc as they have a longer section where the ball joint bolts in. Yours looks like a standard golf hub, would hate for you too get so far and then the disc won't fit past the balljoints

Just had a quick look and your right it's about an inch lower then the one I've been test fitting it on, if that's the case I'm pretty buggered as I can't bring the disc forward any more as the caliper will hit the wheel.

Looks like I won't be running these discs :(
