Well guys, thursday just gone had this lot to fit/change

engine oil/filter,
gearbox oil change, old stuff 36,000 miles

then onto changing the cts turbo discharge pipe and neuspeed power pulley

suprised on the weight saving on this pulley :)

then onto the fiddley high flow intercooler pipe

after all that didnt have time to do the engine oil as it was getting late so done the oil change on friday afternoon, phew
car feels and pulls alot stronger low to mid range as i found out on the RR at awesome gti but was expecting some big numbers really :(

Those torque figures are pretty impressive though, must give you a real kick in the back when you set off.

I was expecting big numbers from yours when you said what you had done. I think it's just a case of the dyno lottery, because mine an carfoo's cars at stage 1 with intakes made 20-30bhp less than yours at stage 2+.

Figures seemed to be fairly consistent on those rollers, the guys who ran mine were hugely impressed with the figures it posted and mentioned it wasn't far shy of stage 2 figures.

Needless to say I was fairly happy lol

need to sort the torque steer out though lol, will be going down to aks tuning in april to have the arbs fitted, adjustable ball joints, anti lift kit then possibly......coilovers:rolleyes:

True, figures were consistent. Just with other stage 2+ cars on different roller making 370-380 makes you wonder what they would make Awesomes rollers.
Don't APR quote 330-340 for stage 2, so your hitting the low end of the stage 2 figures with stage 1 and an intake.

When you get all that fitted I'll be very interest to see what you think because they are the same handling mods I'm going for after I get BCS downpipe and stage 2 software sorted.

well guys,
had a nice chat with evan @ Apr today and he's put my mind at ease
Hi Simon,
The modifications you've made are not performance increasers, or at least not ones that you would expect any more than 5 cumulative horsepower from. They help the engine run more efficiently and none of them would require anything in the map to be changed, since all of the air flowing through them is metered, and the pulley kit goal is to allow your engine to rev more freely. Further, Awesome recently had their rollers recalibrated so it's definitely not the same as you ran before.

There are too many variables in the dyno lottery this time to be overly concerned with the performance difference
