There's more choice, but the price is only a few £ a tyre difference. I'd be inclined to try 195/45 for a few more options.

Edit: to add I had some golf wheels on mine while I was getting the standard wheels refurbished, I think they were that tyre profile and they rubbed on bumpy roads with standard suspension

Thanks for the reply. My brother has 195/R15 wheels that he uses for winter tyres on his Bora, I'll try one of those tomorrow and if they fit over the brakes, get a set of similar wheels with 195/50/R15 winter tyres.

Quick question folks.. Looking at a set of 3sdms for a fr. Would 16" x 9J / ET20 / 5x100 fit? I can't find a picture with them on so thought I'd ask :)

Hi,

Quick question - would wheels from an Ibiza Cupra 2010 fit my FR 2006? I can't insert url or image of the wheels because I haven't made 15 posts yet...

Info:
7.5x17
ET 43
215/40-17

Also, if I upgrade to Audi TT brakes in the front, would they fit with the wheels?

Deeonodaf... would need work at the front for those to fit

Harboged...Should be fine, you may be better switching to 205/40 tyres if you plan to lower your car much but I know there are quite a few people using 215/40 with no problems. Brakes will fit as I'd assume the Cupra wheels fit over AP 4 pot caliper which are bigger

Thanks FR_MATT!

How much is much? I was thinking about upgrading Koni suspension and as I remember they lower the front end with 25-30 mm or so.

You'll be fine I was talking more like 50mm+ when my standard FR wheels started to rub the arch screw. They were 17x7 et41 with a 205/40 tyre, which according to willtheyfit.com sit only 4mm further in than those you mention

Sounds like they should sit nicely bodywork wise. I'd probably go 195 on the front and 205 on the rear

Do you have a Cupra? Whether or not the wheels fit over the brakes is very dependent on the shape of the spokes.

Hey! Currently looking for some new wheels for my ibiza FR 2006, and I'm wondering if Dotz Mugello 17'' would fit without any scrubbing? They are 8x17 ET32 and tyres 205/40. The car is not lowered and i have standard brakes.

Thanks!

Yeh they would be fine. If you lower it they will probably rub the arch liner screw, but you can fix that by removing the screw and fitting 195 tyres.

Same offset as TT comps (but they're 1/2" narrower) if you find pictures of those

Yea, I've seen the TT's on ibizas and noticed that they have the same offset, but I was worried about the dotz being 1/2'' wider.
Thanks for the help!

All wheels: et30 and I think they fit quite snug under the standard arches

It's a long shot, but does anyone have a shot of a 6L dropped on 15's?

On the lookout for new wheels, torn between 15s and sticking with 16's atm as I wanna go lower!
