Unfortunately i followed the first thread and connected to the grey wire thinking they would just come on with the headlights but the grey wire must be interior as they com on with side lights too and on auto.

Ive actually got enough lenght to do something in the rear too. I fed them down the side channel and under passenger seat. Not sure where to stick to though as seats move obviously. I may just cit it back to just footwells.

Sorry buddy I must of miss worded... I meant the lights when you open the doors :/ I don't have auto lights so I'm guessing yours would be in all the time then...

You should definitely do the rear seats that would look great!

I may be taking a trip over to Grimsby at some point then Rob! :D

Haha any left from your big reel? :p May need a hand, but i'll sort you out if you fancied it haha :D

I too would be wanting mine to come on when the sidelights are on I think :) although on the interior light would be cool for when you open the doors.

No worries its dead easy to do. Unfortunately if i cut the spare off its not usable mate or youd be welcome to it. It comes with two wires at the end of the strip (either end) and u cut down to size. When i first used it on my grill i cut the other end off. In hindsight i shouldn't have n then youd be ok. But i cant see how youd wire back onto the strip once cut.

Im sure we could find the cable for the interior lights.

Seems nice and bright in the pics which is good!

Its about time i did this, my map light mounted ambient lights got snapped at the led bulb so i need a new setup

I have been thinking..... (normally dangerous)..... have 2 separate circuits, one for the footwell on door open (tapped from the main interior light...
AND (ready now) the door pockets ambient LED on headlights on! Winner

Just a case of wiring through from the door, going through the sheath (or hidden behind it) and to the headlight switch

Definitely worth a bash it seems! Okay mate, nice one.
Just have to see what he says. Hopefully be okay! I'll PM you back now.

Oooo two separate circuits would be cool so it did both!
Because I could see having to turning your interior light on each time to have em on being a pain, especially if you want em on a night whilst driving! But the feature of having them on when open/closing the doors would be brill!

I was tempted to make a kill switch so I can have them on or off with the headlights...

It clearly needs one of them switches pilots have for engaging missiles lol

anyone know what cbale is needed for the interior lights and were is the best place to locate it?

Not sure its a good idea to link two circuits Rob. Youd need some form of relaying (you aint getting that from me as no idea) it will be one or the other. something to look at later. i am concidering getting some white lights also and sticking then under the door card and wiring into the interior lights.
