Ahh, the run up to a big release. The excitement, the multiple interpretations of snippets of information and opinions, journos making stuff up, the odd accidental leak by SEAT, the fan base seeking any nugget of information. All part of the fun :D

As you can see from post 315 as leaked by SEAT Denmark in an official price list, the Cupra will not be only DSG (thank goodness). Dealers are only able to order DSG cars for their demo models.

280HP is also on the price list. There is talk of a lower powered version being available, but that is not listed on the Denmark leak. This could be something just for the UK as well as the 280HP version, we just don't know.

It seems the SC and five door can be ordered by dealers at this stage.

Cupra will not be 4WD, they would need to keep something special for the R, which will be a post facelift model if history is anything to go by so don't get too excited just yet. It is likely to be at least three years away from Cupra launch.

We have seen the Cupra in disguise in SC form hooning around the Ring, that was closest to final production with the Cupra Badge, different spoiler, front bumper and skirts fitted - the wheels and brakes were obviously not final production, but again the spec list confirms 19's are standard.

The final UK car spec could vary from Denmark's, although expect lots of standard kit (Tech Pack etc).

I'm sure we will have full official details real soon.

Interesting find Leonf ta. Link: http://www.vau-max.de/inside/inside_artikel/erlkoenig__seat_leon_kombi_kommt_als_cupra/id=3651

Has anyone seen these wheels before or could we be looking at the std cupra wheels here? (previous mules have used Sirocco or MK2 R wheels)

Love how someone has literally taken a hacksaw to the rear bumper for the exhausts. The exhausts look the same as the SC Cupra though: http://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/ima...014-seat-leon-cupra-detailed_5.jpg?1380033408

Suspect a made up assumption on power by the German site though.

Aren't those the FR bumpers too? Hope its not a repeat of the Mk2 where the Cupra shares FR bumpers as the FR looks a bit :gay: and un-noticeable on the Mk3

The St will be a mule like the original five door mule running in FR trim. You can see from the SC Cupra in disguise that it has a rear diffuser. Hence the botch cutting holes in the fr bumper as it will be much further from production.

Order books usually open soon after the specs get released - if not the day after.

As we seem close to the spec press release stage I'm guessing it'll be deliveries that Chris is talking about.

Correct me if i'm wrong :D

Yeah that's what I assumed though can't see them launching in December, would they? Not the best time of year for a car launch, assume Jan's more likely.

Take late March 2014 as the date it will arrive in dealers showrooms, demos on the road etc.

Going purely off other model launches SEAT have done in the past dealers will start to recieve their allocated demos just before the launch date, any stock that dealers have been allowed to order as well as any customer orders that have been placed will start to land in the UK in the weeks shortly after.

The specification, images and prices are all normally available well before hand as well as the press having access to the vehicle.

Just with these two lines alone, they need to get their act together sharpish as that's literally just 2-3 months away.

Nothing really other than we now have a build week for our demo of WK04 and not to expect it any earlier than March.

Thanks - seems a bit bizarre that cars can be on order without actually knowing what the spec of that car actually is mind

Is there a breakdown on the systems yet of the gearbox codes that may or may not be shared with the S3/GTi and parts like Haldex controllers, rear drive shafts etc?
