Dynatwist Installation pictures and notes.

Fitted my Forge 007 dump valve tonight, took 15 mins... So, thought I'd install the Dynatwist induction kit that's been sat in the box for over month. French install instructions (hmm, my French is a tad rusty!!), bummer... Anyway, figure out most of it except how the heck do you get that pipe down into the front grill to scoop up all that nice cold air...? Removed the side plastic vent tube and front interface plastic fitting, but no (large diameter) route that I can see to get that tube down there... Am I missing somethine vital piece of information - HELP!!

Additional to my previous message: Found a way to do this, here are some pictures. Road tested it - WOW!! More pulling power, great sound and I can really hear the Forge dump valve now. I'd recommened this modification, just some hand tools required and some patience, had to remove quite a lot of plastic though - well worth it. REVO next!!!! The pipe is a CAI routed to the front vent above the radiator, it wasn't hard to do but was easier with the battery removed and also required the removal of some plastic trim to enable the pipe to be routed easier.

Removed Plastic Parts!

What's the Dyna twist like? Does it make much difference when the car is chipped??
I'll reply to that tomorrow as mines booked in for a REVO with SPS3 in the morning.. Today though, it feels a lot more responsive and seems to have more grunt after the installation.

How did you remove the flap of plastic behind the headlight ? The one that needs moving so you can fit the pipe round the battery ????????
I attacked it with a die grinder - I could get one end off, the other is held on with a square nut that was impossible to get to even with the battery out! Look at the picture above illustrating the removed platic parts, one of them has a label on - that was the bit that had to be cut out. Hey, it's only a car!! 6 weeks old too...

Additionaly I had to bend the supplied plated twist bracket. When I test drove the car I had what sounded like a bear residing in the glove box, the filter assembly was resting on a piece of plastic trim on the bulkhead and was vibrating at certain rev points and engine load. Be bending the bracket it displaced the filter assembly 10mm further forward. I'll take another shot if anyone wants?

REVO'd today with SPS3, wow - what a difference. If I'd done these mods with a bit of time seperating each stage and VAG-COM'ed the performance change I could have provided stage figures.. What I do know is it goes like a rocket, the Dynatwist certainly seems to compliment the re-map and the sound is amazing especially with the car set to High Boost! Haven't had so much fun in a car since my 5 Litre TVR a few years ago, welcome back to the wonders of motoring..
