Hi all,

As some of you may remember, I was previously the owner to the below SEAT Leon TFSI...

I sold the Leon in January 2013 and up until recently I have been the owner of an Audi A3 Sportback TDI 1.6:

Loved the TDI, but it just wasn’t me; I wasn't doing the mileage to warrant having a TDI and due to missing the performance and power of a petrol car, I decided to change and get an Audi TT 2.0 TFSI (211PS) S-Line.

I have never considered a TT before, but approximately a month ago I was given one as a courtesy car for the day by Audi (TT TFSI Roadster). From that moment, I fell in love with it and it immediately made me miss the performance of a petrol car. The sound of the engine, the smoothness of the drive really made me crave having a petrol, turbo car again.

Having been looking into them for about a month or two and seeing a few I liked come and go, the salesman I have been dealing with stumbled across this particular TT.

I’m looking forward to dipping back into the car scene again, as the TDI made me fall out of love with cars for a bit. As great looking as it was, I really do feel like it wasn’t the best car for me.

So, this is my new whip (to be known as FOO III once my private plate gets swapped over...)

Spec as Follows (from what I can remember!):

Exterior:
  • Phantom Black Pearl Effect Paint
  • Body-Coloured Door Mirrors with Integrated Indicators
  • Front Fog Lights
  • Xenon Plus Headlights (with LED DRL’s)
  • Electric/Heated Folding Mirrors
  • S-Line Badging and Door Sills
  • Retractable rear spoiler
  • Auto Wipers and Lights
  • Headlight Washer System
  • Twin Exit Exhaust (So happy to have these again!)
  • 18” Alloys (these will most likely be replaced with these…

Interior:
  • Front Sports Seats
  • Bluetooth
  • Perforated Black Alcantara and Black Leather interior with S-Line Embossing
  • Driver Information System
  • Multi-Function Flat Bottomed Steering Wheel
  • ICE:
  • Bose Sound System
  • Nine Speakers
  • AMI (Audi Music Interface)
  • Sat Nav
  • Ipod Preparation

I have one year’s warranty at present, so I will not be touching the car for at least a year. Once it is outside of warranty, I was only going to consider doing a few things such as:

  • Brake Calipers Painted (Colour to be decided)
  • Remap (Stage 1)
  • Induction Kit
  • Dump Valve
  • Black S-Line badges
  • Aftermarket Wheels
  • Black Gloss Grill
  • TFSI Badge Removal

Here are a few pics….

So that is all for now, as mentioned I will be doing little bits here and there but it may not be for a while :) let me know your thoughts and any other potential mods that could be done!

Thanks for looking…

Very nice write up Kaz. I really do like this car and can't wait to see it in the metal at some point :D

Very nice. Out of all the things to notice I love the steering wheel lol

You're not the first to say that lol, that was one of the things I first noticed when looking at them, but they are standard on all TT's I believe :)

Thanks Richy, I will be at the AMD Rolling Road Day in November no doubt, so perhaps see you then if you're heading for that too?

Thanks for the nice comments all :)

Rae1001, in terms of plans, it will only be having subtle things done for the time being. There's nothing to change looks wise really other than wheels, paint the calipers and replace the current chrome s-line badges with black ones!

Engine wise, induction kit is on the cards and possibly a map in the future, but I will see nearer the time :)

Thanks guys :)

To be honest Reece I don't think I even want a Miltek on this! It sounds so nice just standard and gives a nice sound when you put your foot down and when it's idling!

Map, possibly, induction kit, definitely!

I liked the sound of the Leon with middle box out yet now putting milltek on

1) because got massive bargain
2) it is required for stage 2 so had to be done lol

very nice. love these tt's. only problem sis i dont think i will get the dog in the back haha. enjoy it ;)

Haha same, I'm pretty sure my poor old German Shepherd/Rottweiler cross will not be comfortable in the car unless I put the rear seats down!

Bargains have to be done Reece :) that's the only reason I had the Milltek cat-back system put on my Leon as it was cheap and seemed silly to pass up the opportunity to have it! How is your car? Have you fitted the new TFSI DV from AMD?

Looks nice Kaz ;)

Thanks Lee :)

Yeah I got full turbo back milltek which I was told was decat but its the high flow sports cat one so worth even more and got it for £400 delivered

And yeah I have the valve fitted as soon as I fitted it I found car more responsive and shuts on and off faster defo worth the upgrade but I had the original revision c and they on g now so things obviously got better as New ones came out. But this one is all metal whereas other ones are plastic or rubber so won't be affected so close to turbo on my car
