Found them on eBay. Is it best to got for the genuine white plastic ones and just spray plastic black/? They do have nice black and red ones but not genuine and are £10 more? Chess,

The black and red ones are blue print ones aren't they? I just bought a genuine green one from Honda yesterday, can't beat oem parts! Darkside sell that red one for £20 than they're being sold on eBay lol! Ash, I hear you're good with vagcom from m20fes, if I'm ever in your area could you hook me up with auto windows and the alarm chirp?

Would it not be better to use a silicone joiner reducer to join the cone to maf? I love that the japs made cone filters oem those pesky noodle eating geniuses!! ;)

I think you'd be hard pushed to fit a silicone joiner in there man. If you look at mine it's real tight to the wing. The filter itself has got a slight raised bevel on the inside so when pushed hard enough it clicks nice and snug over the MAF anyway.

Do your self a favour and cut down the middle of the plastic about 2 inches,
That will give it some flex which allows it to go on further and clamp down better with a jubilee clip.
Also I used a bit of silicon to make sure its formed an air tight seal.

Literally a straight cut from the neck, up towards the filter? I'll have to have a look at that later. It never even occurred to me to do anything like that! I think I was too scared of butchering my fresh spray job! Cheers.

I know its a snug fit, But I just wanted to be able to clamp it down a bit with the jubilee so I made a slight slice either side and clamped it down, Its not necessary but I feel better doing it.
Also put a bead of sealant round it.
