Im sure your car will be the ginea pig for the forum haha.
I would like to go wideband sometime in the future, money is holding that back for now, but along with much more, it is on my todo list.
Im not even sure if the turbo on mine is worth keeping or get it changed out for something else :/

Would be nice. He is starting wideband this week so won't be to long. Have you put ur gtx on yet as far as I'm 1 of the first in England to put on a 1.8t

mine is on my new engine in the garage, but not in the car yet.
I just hope mine will hit 400.
The turbo itself is capable of 470-480, but in t25 internal gate form there is no way in hell it will make that, but, i think it will flow more air for a given boost target than a 2871, therefore i think it will perform better than the 2871s, both in spool and peak power.

I just wish id gone external gate to realise the turbos potential, unfortunately i ran out of funds so thats saved for another chapter.

At the end of the day im sure we'l both be happy.

Im also watching the hta2868 build on here, although not much is happening with that, id like to see it go to bill one day, like yours.

Well it was your comment that made me pull my finger out and send it to him. I'm still on standard pistons so will be happy enough sitting around the 400 mark or It would mean engine apart again and I'm not realy up for that. What injectors will you be running as I think I may be limited by my 550's.

And Rae my mrs come to pick me up from bills so didn't mention how much this is costing because she's been going mad about how much iv spent on this car haha. Bill even said I'm in for a bumpy ride home lol

Im using genesis II 630 injectors and a da-31 inline fuel pump.

Do you have an upgraded pump, inline or intank?
You may want to have a word with bill with regards to fuelling, 550 might be on the limit, unless you can throw a 4bar regulator in there.

We spoke about it the other day he has a 4 bar for on standby incase it needs. I have an LCr pump in tank and walbro inline pump aswell. If he feels the injector are holding the power back a lot might have to get some 630's.

They just dont see our cars from the same view as us eh haha. Ive spent about 600 in the last week alone :/. You cant be cheap for getting the work done by bill id imagine? Ha

I think he is doing it for a pretty good price tbh I defiantly think for the money it's worth going wideband on bt setups. 1st 2nd and 3rd where pretty much useless on my car so I think gear based boost will save me afair bit of money on tyres haha aswell I bought a mk4 aum code golf cheap to break so earnt some alright money on that and had all the bits for wideband I needed.

Might be worth a thought doing that tbf. They are becoming really cheap to pick up, so one thats fit to be broken could be picked up for pennies really, make money back on parts and also have all the parts needed. Do you have a list of all the bits needed? 1st and 2nd are really useless on mine, so definately would like the wb conversion
