Okay well ive bought a pack just for the interior protection anyway as its quite highly rated so may give bodywork protection ago to see or charge the father inlaw for it as he wants to pay a man 150 to do it but that doesn't include the warranty lol

as its quite highly rated

Not sure where you found it 'highly rated' other than OAP Cruising! If you want knowledge look at Detailing World forum, as its users range from the Pro detailers down to average people who like nice clean cars.

Going to give this a try. See if it works.

I've had to remove the last collection of soot with g3 paint restore.

Thats what ive used recently, really really good stuff.

Yeah? Do tell.
Does it last long?

I tried some out on 50% of my MR2 bonnet and it feels slippery, made the black look blacker, and had a good reflection.
Can't wait to see how it stands up to the soot on the back of the Leon.

Yeah its good, dust does attrach as it is a wax but it has some form of sealent also from what I gather and isnt as bad as other waxes ive used, did it 3 weeks ago and still sheeting/beading really well. Takes a few minutes to cure, you can tell pretty easily when it has, buffs off a treat with a decent micorfibre.

Its about the 6th different wax ive tried and for the price its awesome.

Just tried some on the tailgate.
Just one coat today. Had to clean the car, which was absolutely filthy, and couldn't be bothered at the end to put the 1000p on the whole car.

I'll put it on tomorrow. And another 2 layers on the tailgat

I only got 2 little sample pots though as I only really intend to use it for the tailgate.

I want AG HD for the rest of the car.

Hows the wax holding up? Do you use the g3 to remove the soot?

Well so far so good. I tried to wipe the soot off yesterday and it came straight off with just water and a wipe. So, good news!
Didn't leave the black staining like it did before with Bouncer 22 wax and Jetseal 109.

So, going to clean it this weekend and put a fresh 2nd coat of 1000P on, then see how long it lasts

Also, the layer I put on half the bonnet of the MR2 is holding up nicely. Great beading and still noticeably smoother/darker than the other side with " just" Blue Velvet wax

Covered the whole car in FinishKare 1000p now and I can confirm:

FinishKare 1000P is soot-proof!!!

A week's worth of heavy soot wiped straight off leaving no marks/residue.

Put another 2 layers on the tailgate today for good measure.

I'm happy

No unfortunately not.
Should have taken a picture of the staining left behind after DJ Bouncers 22 wax was applied.

In any case, the after shots would just be a white Leon :) heheh.

I'll get a video maybe next week of me wiping off the soot.

Update on the c2v3 it definitely isn't soot proof, is been just over 2 weeks since I applied it and the only way to get the soot off was with clay :-( how's the 1000p holding up?
