All looking very good and top work as usual.
Don't get disharted with the lack of time you can spend on you car. Soon it'll be a good excuse to get out of the madness for a while especially if a seconds on the way!

Thanks for the comments guys! I'm pretty happy with how life and the car is at the minute :)

Lol my reg is FJ03 LJZ

They're close...

With my wife and son visiting friends in Oxford today, I've managed to have an hour on the car after finishing work at 5. I've managed to wet sand and mop my inlet manifold cover to bring it up to a nice deep glossy finish. With that done, I fitted it to the newly powder coated manifold bracket and attached it to the manifold. I've also refitted my ECS engine cover, and we're about there

From Saturday's finishing point...

I actually feel really pleased with my work, which is a rare feet. I'm just waiting on the Forge 008 valve to arrive and I need to replace a couple of nuts for SS ones, then it's pretty much done.

Moving on to the front air helper system, I'm just waiting for all those parts to arrive and then I can finish that off. I'll hopefully get chance to give it its first full detail of the year in the next couple of weeks. MOT is due two weeks. I'm half tempted to get them to change the oil whilst its there, just so I can put some miles on it. I've gone for the Fuchs Titan Pro Race engine oil this time round, after hearing only really good things about this. I may as well get them to fit the Dog Mount whilst the floor is off too.

My sights will them be firmly focused on a Milltek turbo-back system and a show standard respray :)

As always, stunning :)

Which colour 008 have you gone for James? Great DV. Also, a good choice on the oil. I'm due to sort mine out fairly soon and will be going with this again myself after using it last year.

Can't wait to see the respray! Are you getting a sports cat or decat with your Milltek?

Cheers Tom. I've gone for the silver one but I today learnt that Royal Mail have lost my parcel (someone else signed for it??). They're going to investigate but I'll probably just buy a new one and retrospectively claim the comp. The Milltek will be mated with a 200 cell sports cat. I can't wait for the subtle body mods and respray either! :)

Annoying the parcel has gone astray but you'll soon have one on I'm sure. I've got the silver one too, it's a lovely finish :)

I've got that Milltek 200 cell sports cat aswell as the decat, just to get me through MOT's. Good choice, only top quality for this car which I like to see!

Like for like respray or putting anything special into the paint/colour choice?

I'll be staying with Ovni, but it'll have a couple of extra layers of it to give a real depth. Lots of lacquer too to give it a glossy finish. Side skirt jacking points will be welded/smoothed. Roof linings will be deleted and front wing to A Pillar joins will also be deleted. Door bump strips will be deleted and side repeaters relocated. These are my initial thoughts. A nice OEM+ finish is what I'm after really. It probably sounds better in my head but I'm certain it'll look sexual :D
