What a interesting day. So I decided I'd quickly have a look and see whether any of the lower intercooler hoses have come loose. I took out the drivers side fog light grill and started looking around. Whilst there I spotted some rather interesting..........can anyone spot it in the below pic?
It's my shiny throttle body cover which recently decided to jump ship. I couldn't be bothered to jack the car up and take the undertray off so decided to take the Jeremy Clarkson route of fixing things:
Managed to get it out but it's going to need polishing up as its got a bit scratched up and looking a bit dull at the moment.
I continued to mess about with the car and re-jiggled a few bits like the n75 etc. All of a sudden whilst driving to the park I got a massive load of boost. Now I know what it feels like to drive a vtec
My thinking, although unproven yet, is that my n75 is playing up. I'm not sure if the position of the n75 makes any difference I.e. if it needs to sit in a certain way etc. Reason I'm thinking the n75 is going is because all of a sudden the car is hitting too much boost, 1.8 bar so a bit worrying to be honest. This happened before when the n75 went, was fluttering up to 2 bar boost and I changed it. After that it was good as gold. Will run some tests another day before jumping on to the buying spree wagon, weather was too nice today to be messing about with cars
