As much as I want my car to handle well its also used in part as family transport so compliance is a factor. The perfect stance isn't high on my list as I wouldn't be able to drive most of my favourite roads round here with out buying a new sump every week.
Your list is pretty much what I've got in my head but I'm also hoping to do the odd track day. Which I'm sure the B12 will be more than up to.
I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on your new set up. Especially what you think of the diff.
i know we are miles apart but i will be going to badger5 soon hopefully so maybe we could meet there and your welcome to drive it and make up your own mind.

Thanks that's a great offer. Unfortunately I'm 3-3 1/2 hours away from Bill's though.
I'm still undecided but you've just about sold the B12 kit to me.

They are a good kit but take advice. If i hadn't gone shocks n springs i would have gone Bilstein coillies. You cant loose to be honest but i struggled to find LCR reviews of the Bilstein kits.

One little update from yesterday is that I've finished of the gas strut/strut brace ball joint.
How it looked.

I just need to spray the area the original bracket was removed from.

I fitted my V2.2 TIP today, replacing the old V1.
Evolution of the TIP!

Where is the silicon coupler, is it lurking under the filter maybe.
The filter fits directly to the MAF I added a O ring and will use some silicon to seal it compleatly. It's a close fit though.

Here as seen on the wrong side of the MAF...

Is this all in preparation for our trip out on Monday matey!? ;)

It's all looking good by the way! :)
I'll need more that a new TIP to keep up with you! 8:20 sounds good to me just waiting on everyone else to make up the minds....
I'm not sure if I'm going in my car as the wishbone bushes are not great. I've got to ask my wife nicely if I can borrow he 1.2 3 cylinder beast. It won't be a fun drive for me.

Matt you're using Bilstien B16's aren't you? You couldn't give us some feed back as I'm still pontificating on whether to fit coilovers or not. What's the ride like?

I think as said you're due a battery re locate but good work done there mate.

Nice to see something different in the filter department. Interesting how it goes to the MAF fairly well. I'm sure with an o ring on it, it'll be leak proof if it's a snug fit now. Log it to be sure.

Ok matey, it's not going ti be a fast drive out there anyway, just a nice cruise!:)

I love the B16's, single best mod I've ever done. Coming from uprated shocks and Eibach Sportline Springs.
They just provide sooooooo much confidence it's unreal! :D

We're all Defo set for 0820 Monday, doesn't matter what car your in either. You can always jump in with me and leave the others in the 1.2 half way if you get too bored! ;)

Oh my god the MK1 Leon section is full of lunatics!!!

Nice updates mate, have to agree with moving the battery, that filter looks way to close to it lol

I'm on it!

It's got some good results on ASN and for the price it's worth a go. The only logging I capable of is first thing in the morning on the loo. But I'm hoping to try the other soon.

Nice cruise my arse! I say that every time I get in the car. I'll bring my scabby yellow money pit but I will hold you to a ride in your car some time!

 I'm looking forward to seeing 'Bumblebee' if I'm honest as I really miss my Mk1 a lot! :(

I think they're cars that are so full of character and just awesome to drive!

Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow morning mate! Think I'll have to leave mine about 0730 so must have less beers than I did last night! ;)

Don't expect much from my car it's got a lot of work needed to get it up to scratch. Thankfully most of those parts have been bought and are waiting to be fitted! It should be good fun tomorrow they're very good roads out that way. Bikers favourites just watch out for the cops!

Last night late on after a few beers I tought it'd be a good idea to buy a couple more bushes I needed. I ended up buying powerflex's new black bushes for the rear beam and Evan though I've already bought a superpro one. A black steering rack bush also. I hope they're not to firm!

I took my car out for a quick drive today and the new TIP filter combo is very good. I'm always weary with new mods of the placebo effect. However my car does feel a little livelier. I do suspect I may of had a boost leak though. As oil was leaking out of the bottom of the old TIP where it fitted onto the billet adaptor. I'll keep an eye on the jubilee clip this time and make sure it is tight enough.

Time attach at Cadwell park.

A few of us had a trip over to Cadell on Easter Monday to watch the first round of the time attach season. It was bloody cold but good fun. It was good to meet up with Matt (Bignod00), and CupraR (sorry forgot your name), Carlo again. Plus meet TFSI Mike, you guys stunning cars put my scabby effort to shame. Also sorry to slow you down on the way there.
Any way here's some photos.

If you've not been to a time attach event get yourself along to one. It's as close as you'll get to a modern day group B event. They make great noises but tend to go bad alot!

This is a bit of an impulse buy just happened. Well it is my Birthday!
http://www.rimstyle.com/alloywheels/wheel/?wheel=team_dynamics_pro_race_12_gb

Happy birthday Paul :)

Nice buy, good wheel for your inevitable track time! I was close to choosing these as my next wheel but in anthracite. But I'm going for something else now.

Congrats! Join the wheel club. Just t0m left to buy now I think.

PS Happy birthday :)

Won't be long James! I'll order when you get your leather door cards :p lol.
