I've just treated my self to a fancy new cone filter with built in velocity stack.

Nice mate,
I like the look of the filter. Have you decided who,s map your going to go for. I've had Apr, Revo and badger5 on my car and Bills is the best by far.

The filters not bad for £22.

The mappings a choice between Bill and Niki. I'm swaying towards Bill even though he twice as far away. A lot of my planning of mods have been around Bill's products and advise.
It may be late summer or autumn before I'm ready for a map. As I'd like to add coilovers and WMI to my planned mods before then.

I see youre going down the s2000 filter route as being done by all the audi boys now
However when i logged my airbox to big green filter i got just as big if not more of a gain in g/s as people are getting on these

Cool, wmi is a superb mod and overlooked by the uneducated. The engine loves it.
Your car will be an animal.

Yeah I needed a new filter and it was either this or £180 of velocity stack and filter. I thought I'd give this a go.
Are you saying the S2000 filter flows the same as the standard air box?

Your right WMI should be higher on people's lists when tuning a K04 platform engine. Flow and keeping it all cool is the key.

Saying the gains of s2000 vs airbox that people have logged are similar to my logs of airbox vs green monster cone
If anything the green almost gained more, it was about 14g/s on an unmapped car

They give adjustability mainly, obviously different kits can allow more adjustments
It also allows you to get the car corner weighted, this can be vital if the car has been lightened or partially stripped
Remember just a lower COG is not always good, its been covered before but the roll centre changes as the COG does

That's not bad for a filter you can pick up for £15. I went for the expensive red one as you can see.

You sure you want coillies over shocks and springs. Coillies for the Bling and shocks for the performance.;)
A good question:confused:. One of the reasons I've not replaced the suspension before know is that I've been undivided which to fit. I've decided it'll be a Bilstein kit and between the B12 and B14. When I ask everyone tells me coilovers handle better but you get a better ride which dampers and spring ???

I'm running the bilstein B8 shocks at the moment and boy do they handle.

Is the kit you had fitted B8 or B12?

its the bilstein kit for use with the LCR and using eibach 15/20mm proline springs inconjunction with B8 dampers. Smooth as silk. Its the B12 Kit.

Sounds good, I'll have a think again....
What does your car sit like with them?

I'll get a pic up soon for you, but they are very discrete.Bear in mind they are still settling in with new top mounts they measure approx 26inches from the floor to the wheel arch. i had a few goals in mind for my suspension.....
1. To not lower it very much so that i scrape speed bumps and cant get on certain rolling roads.
2. To eliminate the bouncy crashing feeling of the stock setup and associated nose diving.
3. Improve handling and inspire confidence.
4. Improve driving refinement.... no gokart bumpity bump.....a classy ride.

I must say the Bilstein tick all the boxes for me. The cheaper coil over kits in my opinion although an upgrade to stock are a halfway solution between road and track. I choose road but i recon it will perform very well on the track too as it has been selected and tested for this also.
But variety and opinion is the spice of life. ;)

As much as I want my car to handle well its also used in part as family transport so compliance is a factor. The perfect stance isn't high on my list as I wouldn't be able to drive most of my favourite roads round here with out buying a new sump every week.
Your list is pretty much what I've got in my head but I'm also hoping to do the odd track day. Which I'm sure the B12 will be more than up to.
I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on your new set up. Especially what you think of the diff.
