How did you get it up there? Lol.

Hope tomorrow goes well mate.

It takes a while but I have figured out the technique to get it up on the drive. Chasing up the council to find out what's happening with the crossover application I sent at the beginning of last month

Was down AmD today to get a few things checked and the exhaust rear tip re-adjusted.

My car doesn't seem to like the cold as it keeps going into limp mode. Whenever I scan the car it keeps saying there is a leak somewhere. The guys have checked the map for me and adjusted a few parameters however today we believe we have found the real issue.............the red hose which fits on top of the turbo to the charge pipe has teared all over. Unfortunately the guys didn't have one in stock but have done a temporary fix for me until I order a Forge one and change it.

On the brighter side, my exhaust now sits exactly how I want it to thanks to Nick down at AmD. When my custom exhaust was built by the guys at Midlands Exhaust, and fitted onto the car it was all in the air and they forgot to check how the tip sat when it was on the ground. For exhausts to look right on the LCR, they need to angle upwards.

Here is a pic on how the exhaust sat before (never liked taking many pics from behind due to how **** it sat):

This is how it sits now (much better):

Extra pic I took whilst there, be rude not to really

Looking good EL. It has more of a meaty look now. Certainly sits well and makes the rear look its best! Are you happy with the exhaust note that you get from them custom exhaust? Were/are you happy with having gone down the custom route?

Thanks buddy, finally happy with it!! The exhaust note is simply crazy. Doesn't drone, gives a lovely rumble and screams when floored. To be completely honest, I went the custom route because it was free ;) Would I do it again, yeah I would but now that I know more about exhaust setup's etc I know what to look out for and would be able to tell the place exactly what I want/need instead of shrugging my shoulders and saying yeah go for it with whatever they say. Iv also met some real talented exhaust fabricators now so would have a choice of places to take it to and would be confident in their work

Looks much neater El

Cheers mate :)

Looking good El!

You're right the exhaust is a big improvement over how it was before.

Cheers mate. It is indeed. I tried sorting it myself but had to give it to the pros in the end to work their magic as it had to be cut and re-welded. I'd hate to imagine how wrong it would have gone if I attempted to weld myself lol

That looks a lot better. I've got the early miltek fitted and I hate it. I want to get the tip replaced at some point with an oval tip.

Thanks bud. The oval shape suits these cars a lot. Just make sure that when they put the new tip on, they get it to suit as high to the bumper as possible. Check how it will sit with the car on the floor before they weld it on, don't make the same mistake as me!

There's always something to but right. Ordered the hose along with the hose kit which connects the charge pipe to the N75 and the DV. Thought sod it I might as well change those also as they too are prone to cracking and causing leaks. Fingers crossed after these it will mean I have a less air leaking engine :)

Finally!! Looks much better mate. Nick's done a good job with that.

Good buys with the Forge hoses too, can never have enough silicone hosing replacing the oem crap. I'm going to buy that turbo one as well eventually.

Quick trip to D.K's today. He trimmed down my passenger side wiper blade so that I could fit the aero blades I purchased a while back. Without trimming it would hit the rubber seal around the windscreen. Looking very neat indeed:

Whilst there we quickly serviced my 007 DV with the new service kit Forge are handing out. The piston is slightly different now so should mean a more even wear at the bottom of the piston. The uneven wear was causing leaks according to them hence why they have altered the piston design slightly. Here is a pic of D.K holding the piston that was removed which shows some uneven wear but nothing too drastic:

The aero blades are much better aren't they! I cut the actual arm on mine though, means I can just fit blades without pissing about cutting them every time!

Was a toss up between cutting the blade or wipers. I decided the wipers so that then if I fancy selling the aero wipers I can do so easily

Not the happiest right now. After months of abuse I have somehow now managed to break the custom splitter D.K made for me. We going to see what we can do to fix it but doubt anything will be done for Sunday as there's plenty more which needs to be done before the rolling road event at AmD
