what did YOU have to do when this happend to your leon

hi people

Ive just joined with this my 1st thread total newbie and i need as much help as i can get plz i own a black fr 07 tfsi and wait for it gutted ive kerbed it. so here i am like so many countless others no doubt with 2 options. 1 which ive had no luck with so far. Is searching via internet sites for 1 or a set of 2nd hand ones at a fair price which i could not find. and at £300 a pop from seat dealers for one plus no doubt bringing the others up to scratch which would take me to around £420 2 so i started to look at oem and im thinking maybe about a whole black and red theme changing my wing mirrors and grill . so 2 points i really could do with your help on please

1. does anyone own a set of these 18 inch andromedas or 1 for sale (as the last thing im going to do after my mods is put on the new alloys so in the meantime i can still use my andromedas)


2. from what ive read on here everone loves the andromedas so does anyone have opinons on aftermarket alloys i think the ones ive been looking at are wolfrace pro lite red black or the calibre friction red black and im worried about fitments with the offset

thx for being my 1st reply on this forumD we all gotta start some where no m8 i wish it was that easy gutted i hit it pretty flush sideways and its buckeled it so i dont have many options either new set at £450 ish a new andromeda and refurbs for the outher which will probably be around £400 or a cheap one or set from the net which im still waiting on i kinda got to make a decision some time i cant drive it for to long as it might lead to other possible damage do my car im kinda hoping i could get a qucik reply from all you fellow leon owners

Yeah, surely refurb is best plan? Unless you've really knackered them?

one of thems buckeled so a new one from a dealer i got quoted £300 plus the cost of bringing the outher 3 up to scratch with a refurb is gonna cost the same as some black red oem so if i have only those two choices im starting to think i might rather get new oems either the wolfrace prolite red black or the calibre friction red at most £480 and getting my wing mirrors and front badge grill and back badge painted to match not sure exactly how much the paint works gonna be but maybe around £150 at a guess which is £630 ive owned the car from new so its either the i get some cheap uns or its £630 and a new look i hope cause to spend £420 ish for a new andromeda and to refub the others is not the choice of the 2 i thinkk im gonna do unless anyone can help in the meantime like next 2 days these are my choices what would u do have a look at them and see what you think

Where's about are you m8 there's a excellent bloke in the midlands who sorted mine and more unbelievable he does work for Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Porsche...... Seen him straighten some Lamborghini wheels which had been felt spotted on speed humps at a cost of 2k for each alloy he was payed to straighten them.....

cheers mark tbh if i have to spent any decent money its either my andromedas back to new (which i love and from what ive read so do a lot of people on here) or a new black red look i really need a cheap 1 or set of seconds but if i cant gt some at a fair price then its pennies i have to spend really like to no what u think about these black red wheels with red mirrors and badge mods

The bloke in question only straightens and repairs alloys, then he uses a bloke in Cannock for powder coating, using the 2 blokes cost me less than £200 for repair a paint....

On a side note, and not to cause more of a problem...if you have buckled your wheel you may have caused other damage, i.e. knackered bearing etc.? I lost my old A3 in the snow and hit the kerb....alloy wasn't buckled but the bearing needed replacing. (although I blagged it through the warranty!...and that was for both front and rear!).

the snow thats what got me lol yh thx for that i damaged my whisbone and had a new one put on by a mate i took it to my local seat dealer to look over and said its all ok under there just that my wheels buckeled so here i am

deperate for an adromeda alloy or alloy lol tbh ive been wanting to mod my car for ages so i guess this is gonna be the kick up the ol stinker time and get going lolool

yh no joy so far been looking all week came on here yesterday and someone else did another thread about them and got offerd a set within a day im just praying some one sees this who already gone for other oem or no of a spare any where i cant let my wife drive my lil uns around with a buckeld wheel and ive got 2 days to sort it leaving fri for tacking and new tyres putting on the alloys cheers tho gratefull to all the replies suprised no1 on here has told me of doing the same thing to theres tho lol n1
