I didn't like the spider so trimmed it in acoustic cloth.
I've just fitted a front TT strut brace and between the two there seems to be an improvement in rigidity when pushing on. I'm always a bit sceptical as to whether or not I'd be able to notice an improvement with this kind of mod. So yes I do think they worth a punt. It just a shame they've gone up in price.
I messaged the guy that makes the Hughes engineering ones and he said can do them for £85 delivered which is cheaper than they were before. Got 3 people intersted so far need another 3 people to make it worth his while making an extra batch

Can you feel it at all? Been looking at these but unsure weather they do stiffen the back end up?

a 28mm rear arb on my car with coilovers made absolutely ZERO difference.
Might be because Its lowered on hard coilovers already.
