I seen them, there sweet seats mate. Alloys fitted and then maybe new bushes and an ARB and i will be happy for a while. Will be keeping a look out for seats and also looking at sourcing a front cupra bumper, FR grilles and an Aero rear and oval exhaust. But in no rush for all that.

Also registered to go back to college next year so that could hit the finances over the next few years. Wont be too far from you Dave

Iv applied to go to LIT Clonmel. Pretty good for multimedia design from what I hear which is what im looking to do

Been a bit tied up lately. Car is now debadged on the rear and has nurburgring sticker.
Also fitted wind deflectors all round(thanks to BeezaDave for the rears).
Standard radio refitted as sony one was playing up.
New front ordered and missus has ordered me a new rear.

Not going with the traditional cupra/facelift as I want something different.

Going to keep pics to a minimum until I get hold of parts

Most parts have been ordered already. Wont get around to much in the next few weeks as i am laid up but hopefully by early summer the car should look like this before I head off to college.

Haha no, I got a free valet as I was given a gift card when I got my windows tinted. Did some job. IIRC that picture was taken about 2 months after they cleaned it. They gave me a small bottle of the stuff they used but theres no label on it. Leaves some shine on plastic.

Much better than any dash cleaner I have ever bought
Both this and my Cordoba are in bad need of a good clean now. Its just a case of getting time and the weather to do it now

Right guys, due in for surgery next week so Ill be laid up for about 2-3 months so wont be too much updating. Hoping to just do all my vinyl wrapping and most of my spraying in that time so it should be a straight case of fitting it then

Cheers Dave, got pushed back by a week after so not due in until tomorrow.


In the meantime I just got a few things done with the car. Mainly just wrapping a few panels and also sprayed my new rear valance but havnt got to fit it yet.

Also got door handles and my battery cover done but no pics.

Unsure as if I should do the strut brace or just skin the case of my laptop with stickerbomb now. Thoughts??

Nah man, dont like the facelift rear bumper. If I had the cash I would have got a cupra bumper but decided for that splitter instead.

Well no progress as such except tidyed the interior up a bit.
Had to remove the tinted banner and front windows for the NCT. Carbon wrapped the door handles. Raised the back up a little to clear speed bumps. Purchased paint for both wheels and the touch ups/splitter. Still about 6 weeks away from being able to do much to the car so not going to be much in the line of updates.

Anyway im still laid up for the next week or two but heres a small update

Busy enough day today but still allowed a little time to be spent on the car all the same. First off I secured the badge into the grill and refitted it to the car.

Looks bang on and even better than I thought it would look

While I was at my cosmetic mods I added my VanAaken sticker as the car finally got through the NCT(mot). Unsure if I should put a tinted banner on at all or to put a large one on?


I forgot to post a pic of the debadged rear and the nurburgring sticker so here is:

Still a tiny bit of residue left on the bootlid but the next good clean the car gets will sort that out.

Last but not least I finally got hold of the paint for the rear valance and have 2 coats of matte black on so far for the insert. Hoping to get it fitted and pop back in the rear coilys sometime next week.

I couldn't in the end. Had a 21st in Tipp on the Saturday night. Plus if that wasn't on, I probably would have gone to the Limerick match in Thurles. Had an assignment due on the Monday aswell

I should be heading to Modified Live in Mondello though Plus the Rally of the Lakes since I only live an hour away when I'm not in college. Did you go?

Nah mate, was dying to go but im still not meant to be driving on long trips and figured that id be on the mend quicker if i didnt. Hopefully the car will be in good enough condition to make a trip or 2 to shows later in the summer
