They will charge him as he has painted the interior of the car and with taking the bits off he has knocked a sensor or something of that nature, so highly unlikely they would do it under warranty

I got snap-on scanner at work I could bring it with me which should be able to read and clear the codes.
Thanka guys just need the fault cleared it is all pluvged and stuff like tom said i must of kncockrd sensor somewher but after looking last night it was all ok and plugged in

That's exactly what I was going to say to him...great minds!!
Haha i know as i did the same on mine but have a mate with a proper vagcom and he cleared it within seconds
