These coil packs look so good and Awsome are Awsome! I'll have to buy one of those foot rests I've had them saved on ebay for a while and they look good fitted. I can tell RAF brick work any where, built to last lol!

Exciting times mate :) Plenty of mods going on left right and center!

Loving the Forge cap looks great in your bay. The foot rest is also a great touch! I might have to do something along those lines in the near future

Now these coilpacks.. So you have noticed it's smoother on idle and lower down feels a bit better? Was anything wrong with your old coilpacks at all? I was going to get these 2.0 TFSI one's when mine die, but my coilpacks are around 5 years or maybe more? Lol. I keep getting tempted by them..

Good progress mate.

Yes Tom, cylinder 2's coil pack had started to develop a misfire on idle. To say the engine hasn't ran since Oct, it runs really sweet on idle. I just need a new exhaust as mine is blowing quite a lot now. As Redbull said, such well made adapters, and hopefully a stable future mod.

Plenty of time for exhausts, and quite a few options out there now too :)

Cheers for the info. Might leave the coilpacks for the time being until they start to let go.

Great new additions there mate. I will keep you updated on dashcommand, on quick testing it did seem to be something like 0.5 seconds delay between what the car is doing and what the software was saying but il have a proper play around with it. Has loads of features which is ace

Cool. I guess without a direct plug in, there's always going to be a slight delay. However, I wanted it for clearing faults and scanning, as well as stuff like bhp and torque figures, so it should be perfect for me :)

LCR Armrest Fitted...

P1030460.jpg

Following the below picture guide, I fitted my Genuine LCR Armrest which I bought a while ago. It went on simply and really compliments the interior. Feels nice in the driving position too :D

Glove Box Insert...

To fit the WIFI module, that I purchased to run the DashCommand software on my iPhone, I have removed my CD changer; it was redundant anyway as I have a Denso ICE iPod adapter. I have located it where the CD changer used to live.

I decided to buy a Seat Leon Glove Insert – Part Number 1MO 868 659 – Currently priced at £12.50, including P&P, from Dave at SereMotors. Excellent Service as always!

I decided to use some of my leftover black acoustic cloth to line the insert, to give it more of a luxury feel. Once the pieces were cut, they were applied with spray adhesive. I’m really happy with the result.

It’s not an exciting mod by any means, but I’ve been keen to take care of the last couple of bits in the interior. The boot build has all settled in nicely, everything interior wise is in ‘like new’ order so overall, it’s complete :D

We get the keys to our new house on 11th Feb, and along with a couple of work projects staring me in the face, in addition to our baby’s arrival in March time, things will obviously be a little slow with regards to the car’s progress. The car will be serviced in early Feb before it’s driven. The plan is to try and get an exhaust, B5 TIP and maybe swap my Split-R for a 008 in the spring months, but my eyes are firmly set on July to have the car re-sprayed. Fingers crossed :)

42 Draft Designs Shifter Cable Bushings...

I managed to sell my old coil packs and spark plugs as spares the other day, so with the loose change that I got for them, I bought these from Awesome. Said every time, but their Customer Service/delivery times are brilliant.

Here's the link for anyone who might be interested in this:http://www.awesomegti.com/car/seat/leon1m/42-draft-vw-shifter-bushing-set-mk4-5-6speed-my02-05

These seem to get great reports of improvement with shifting (from those on the forum), so I'm looking forward to fitting them at the weekend. Whilst there, I'm going to adjust the throw on the Forge shifter to 30% rather than 40% to try and maximise the shifting experience; 40% has been known to make 3rd gear engagement slightly clunky. We'll see if it makes a difference.

Slowly but surely... :)

The solid bushes are a good mod. I've fitted the glove box insert a while ago but that's a good idea trimming it. Ill have to get some acoustic cloth a I want to trim my unibrace in it as well.

Mate its a good buy, you'll love the precise changes at speed with no way of doing a 'slack' gear change. Definitely worth doing :)
