Did you sort one out?

Sorted out the cold air feed today, put it in the grill bottom right looking at the front, with a funnel, seems to be a little more torquey but I might just think it. Will get pics up when I'm home and have messed around abit.

Changed the CD player fascia to an lcr one and wrapped/sprayed the gear gaiter surround bits so they're also black, massive improvement I think!

That's a nice figure for me to go on, as I think we've got relatively the same mods (including what I'm planning) can't wait to get her mapped now!

Tuesday I fitted the new door, £20 I paid, inc regulator, window etc (got a regulator *motor* not whole unit as I cannabilised some bolts, and glass if anyone wants to pick up from either Helston or Gloucester) and its a REALLY good colour match and good condition, wasn't fun doing the alignment lol. Basically I took my regulator out and put it in the new door, because the old door didn't have folding mirrors and I couldn't be arsed to change the loom.

No pics of it off yet I forgot.
Any way, some goodies to go on soon :)
S3 strut brace, thinking about getting it flocked in black??

Also, got a fully working MKIV Golf arm rest from a scrappy for a tenner! It's black cloth, so doesn't look too bad but I'm going to do it in either leather or plastic alternative so it will match. Makes me miss my Bora from nearly 4 years ago!

Don't think much will be happening any time soon as we're looking into getting a flat, which is not cheap! Can't stand coming home to mummy's any more.

Warranty job on Monday though, NSF track rod worn so its being replaced.

Loving the progress on this mate, wish I had the funds/knowledge to do half of this stuff myself!

The tolly seats look great! How did you get on with the wheels? And how much of a differene do the 312mm brakes make? Looking to uprate mine when I can actually afford to and wondering whether to go for uprated discs/pads or 312mm upgrade.

Great work so far :)

Cheers!
The wheels got sold ages ago if you're on about the tt ones? Lost 3/4 what I spent on them. Oh we'll life goes on.... To be honest I'm not overly impressed with the brakes, I'm going to further upgrade at some point to either brembo LCR brakes or brembo porsche brakes, I've got brand new discs and pads and they've been bled, with the abs through vagcom! But I know they have potential as I'm looking after a mates car, the black one there is a pic of a few posts up I think, and his are amazing compared to mine! He has brembo grooved discs and brembo pads where as mine are just tt genuine ones.

And I don't have the funds really haha! Looking into getting a place with the misses, but January will see a 2.5" custom turbo back ss zorst, s3 strut brace, r32 rear brakes and a few other little bits.... So watch this space! Still love your wheels but I'm thinking 3sdm 0.01 staggered for mine. :)

Ah fair enough mate, did you swap over the callipers and carriers or just the carriers? I'm sure I've read somewhere that the 312mm brakes use the same callipers as the Cupra 288mm

If I upgraded to them I'd go for after market discs/pads as well, but then if the performance difference between the 2 sizes isn't that great I may just whack some grooved discs on my current set up.

Lol still wish I had the money to make the progress you are, looking to get new coilovers fitted when I can afford it, then it'll be a while before I can do any more

Cheers mate, I'm still really pleased with them :D yeah the 0.01s are really nice, looked amazing on Mike's white LCR at UD last year

I know, the 3sdm's look awesome on Mike's LCR, but I wouldn't go that low because I hate with a passion that gap you get in the back of the arch towards the bumper!! I know you can get plates imported from the US that bring it back, the rear beam bolts on to them, with the shims bolting to where the beam would originally mount, but that means importing them, disassembling the brakes, lowering the beam, so for evry day use I'm just going to lower it on decent springs, instead of cheap coilovers. -40mm I'm planning, and eventually poly bush the beam but thats all experimenting at work.

sorry for the question, but maybe someone will know what seats are suitable for Leon? maybe golf 4? whether there is a matching seat without rework?

All Golf mkIV seats fit I believe, the only thing that may need changing is the airbag plug, I had to solder the plug off my old seats onto the new ones. Not hard and 2 wires on each plug.

mkIV Golf/Bora seats, A3/S3, Toledo, I'm not sure but I think Fabia seats may fot also, as I've seen someone put Toledo half leather, the same as mine in a VRS, which would surely mean that some Polo seats would fit?

My seats are finally going to a good home, one of the trainees at work has got a hybrid built 20vt mkI golf that they are going in. I will post pics after xmas when they are in.

Watch this space for further front brake upgrades, might have some 312mm's up for grabs depending on what I can sort out disc and pad wise!
