them seats seem to suit the car well.
i hope you carry a ball with that bat if/when its in your car.

haha, yes theres a ball with it, iam not a thug :p, I take the dog over the park and bat the ball for him, keeps us both entertained, although I think iam going to take it out as a few people have said to me its risky carrying it around, shame but guess thats how the world is right now

Serious work has gone into this car, wish I could do it! Seats look lush too! I've got a question, I've just bought 256mm rear brakes but one of the carriers has the 2 sliders missing, any idea if i could use my old ones or will I have to buy some? Also where from? Cheers josh.

Cheers. You got the LCR rear setup ?

So you got both the rear Calipers but missing the sliders/carriers for them ?

If so your old carriers from your old setup won't fit them calipers. Ask dave @ sere on here for a price, if there expensive try your luck on eBay from someone breaking a LCR although most of them will want to sell the carriers with the calipers.

No no I've got the whole set up minus discs and pads. I bought r32 carriers and lcr calipers separately, (painting black for sleeper look) but the carriers are missing 2x slider bolts. I didn't read the listing properly. Lol, so I just wondered if you knew where I could get some from, because I think you're the man to speak to at the moment, you have done nearly everything lol. I've left a post on the sere motors thing on here, just hope they aren't too much.

No I only need 2, I did read a thread of yours on there but I think you asked for 323 Brembo sliders for £13 or something? I have to see yours in the flesh one day, it has everything I want mine to be like! So much money in that car, but like you said you know it's strong, goes like poo off a shovel and good mpg so best of all worlds! And will stop very well soon!

ok got some Golf MK4 Aero arms and bosh aero blades. Drivers side was a straight swap for the original, but the passenegr side arm is about 2" too long, leaving the blade pretty much on the front wing and a big gap between the drivers blade.

I thought about cutting short the blade but ill be loosing screen coverage and the blade wouldnt be central to the arm, and didnt want to have to go through this every time i change blades so thought id modifiy the arm

I noticed that at the end of the arm, the blade holder is tightly wrapped together

DSC03931.jpg

so i cut it off, hammered out the piece of arm that was in there and shortned the arm a further inch

DSC03932.jpg

hammered the arm back into the balde bracket and trial fitted the arm to see how far i need to bring it in or out

DSC03933.jpg

then glued for extra stability

DSC03934.jpg

then P40 for more stability
DSC03935.jpg

then P38 to smooth the underside off, sanded, primer filler, black gloss paint

Finish hasnt got to be perfect as you wont actually ever see it.

How easy was it to split the arm from the holder????
This is defo what I want: as like you, am fed up cutting the blade each time

right pain in the arse tbh, its well and truly on there. i tried splitting the claw with various flat screwdrivers and a hammer but it wouldnt open, so cut it at the base and hammered it through the other side. probably alot of effort for what it is but its done now so no messing around in the future with blades etc.

Next up is getting the LCR brembos refurbed and fit them.

Also gonna look into a rear strut brace and ARB and better rear tyres after having a scary moment on a roundabout today where the back just fish tailed.

Ha ha I know what you mean with that one mate. The amount of times iv nearly faced the other way on a roundabout because of my budget tyres, serves me right really. Loving the seats by the way :D
