Got half a tank of fuel but says 45 mile on computer help

Hi have a pretty stock mk3 Ibiza cupra noticed the last few days I have half a tank of fuel on my clocks but the computer on dash says 50 mile so don't seem correct I've took the fuel pump out and checked sender all looks fine bit stumped really any help greatfull

have you been giving it sh*t then looked? as sometimes it will say how many miles you will have if you keep boosting sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong

Not been killing it just steady driving really just thought someone might have a better idea lol

Have you actually tried driving the 50 miles to see if you run out? In other words, have you actually got only 50 miles of fuel left or is it the fuel computer not having a clue?

Lol i had a full tank today give it the beans abd it said 114miles...i take no notice of it, just reset my mile ometer and go off that as i get around 95 miles to £20

If the Needle on my gauge is between 1/2 and 1/4 of fuel left when i park on my drive it goes to empty and beeps everytime i start the car lol

Depending on how I drive it I can have 200 miles left and it bloody beeps at me lol

Are you sure you've not reset the trip computer and give it a little beans out of the petrol station on the way out?

No honestly just general driving but not far say 10 miles a day

Exactly what I did when I got mine, frightened the heck out of me!
