. And its YOU who holds events with REVO, so if anyones in someones back pocket its YOU.

Al did a cracking job of organising the REVO day. Up here tuning days are an unknown. Revo were good enough to come up north of the border. It gave VAG and FORD brands the chance to have a taste. And was an additional attraction to make THE best Scottish national meet yet. There was no favouritism involved in picking Revo. They were happy to travel the distance and I'm sure Many of tuners wouldn't have been fussed

aha...... finally stumbled across this thread :) the younger version of my Bumblebee

looking good bud........ reckon I'll have one of these in the future once I've got my foot on the property ladder, having to save pretty much everything at the moment to get a decent deposit.

so what's next then?? Milltek??

its YOU who so staunchly rubbished APRs new 3.1 map when YOU hadnt even tried it.
As above, I am still waiting on the links/proof of this – and I know I will continue to wait because we both know there aren’t any ;). Feel free to prove me wrong.

As mentioned on the other thread, as Scotland Section moderator, I organised a day which never existed in Scotland before and created a hugely successful event which had a tuner turn up to, something we never had previously. I used a forum sponsor who were willing to travel the distance. I would have used any tuner that had been willing to travel and who were/are adequately represented in Scotland. I tried them all, and only one were willing to do it. End of story. On top, I have purchase proof of every single thing that has ever been on my cars, and the price paid. Sadly no equipment on my car was discounted other than the Milltek.

it was YOU who went out of his way to dismiss ANY apr GPS timing, APR 1/4 Mile results, and APR dyno sheets.
Yep – Because when you compare apples with apples, you don’t use pears. You were comparing a Golf R with DSG vs a Leon Cupra with front drive and manual gears. You were also comparing timing from a well set up event at an airfield vs one person in a car with a gadget on a random road that could have been downhill to do the same thing

So Al YOU are now claiming the revo code on the 2.5TFSI for example DIDNT cause me and others misfires and limp modes. Hundreads of pounds WASTED trying to fix a problem which was all map related. I should have listened to the user with other maps and tuners who said less boost is faster (turned out to be true) and in turn when I did change maps for a less hard boosting one, it reflected in GPS timing, and I no longer got misfires or limp modes!
I am not claiming anything – you are, and you always do. Being honest though, with the recent incident with your car, I am not sure what I believe from you to be honest – first it was a drivetrain issue, then it was engine and clutch....

Engines fine, drivetrains not.

Bent valve in the cylinder head from a ninja shift gone wrong
I don’t wish you or your car any ill, but you have seriously dented your credibility by constant references to APR, constant ripping of another certain company all the time and part stories – your experience with a certain tuner may not have been to the level you insist on, but other people have good experience, and I like to try and see both sides of the story – and I have certainly heard both sides of one particular story.

Poverty said:
unethical rebranding of BSH products? The same product line that the factory attempted to w.h.o.r.e out to APR and just about every other tuning house in the world? All the other tuners had enough integrity to not do such a back hand deal. The ins and outs of it are very murky.
What they do is their business. I think you must be pretty naïve if you don’t realise that most people see you as unofficial APR rep this forum

good at promising things, but always fail to deliver going by their past history…the twin diverter they showcased at Inters last year, never came to fruituition.

….Makes one wonder why has their lead programmer left…. why have so many people made the switch away…. why did milltek ditch ……
Saved me spending 10 minutes finding anything about you ripping in to them, and this qualifying it made me chuckle
Poverty said:
Seriously people, be open minded on the subject of tuning

If what you posted above was not anti/dismissive, I don’t know what is .

Once again, I will say this – I AM HAPPY APR ARE IN THE UK BECAUSE COMPETITION IS HEALTHY AND IT ENSURES BETTER PRODUCTS AND BETTER PRICES FOR US THE CUSTOMERS. I HOPE ALL THOSE WHO DECIDE ON HAVING APR PRODUCTS ON THEIR CAR ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THEM (not sure how many times I have posted this kind of thing now)

On a side note, we both need to cut this out as feuding is against the forum rules not to mention petty, pointless and childish. I agree with the comments above. Graeme, I will no doubt hear from you by phone as usual on all updates and will only post about your car in this thread moving forward.

Take this to my project thread if you wish, whilst there are holes in what you have said this isnt the time or place.

If you wish to really get a better understanding of the VAG tuning scene there is a secret place where ALL the vendors and tuners post, and people with serious knowledge discuss things. The offers there, it will change some of your views, it did mine.

P.S

clutch is drivetrain no? Engine ran, but upon further inspection we realised I had bent a valve. What the diagnosis on my car has to do with credibility I dont know.

Graeme your car is looking great buddy! I am very interested in the "drive" of this new map.

Sorry for not answering any of your calls for the last month, was in Greece then the middle of the med, so I thought it was cost too much to answer :)

Ps. This apr vs revo is getting really annoying now.

Cheers Dav! Sorry for bothering you on your hols mate. Didn't know when you would be back. I'll be up in Aberdeen in the next month or so. If you fancy we could have a wee shot in each car. And you can see what you think. I can't compare as i've never had the first map lol. But the graph on the rollers seems pretty good :)

I have been in both cars, and there is a bit of a difference. Would be nice to compare them for sure.

Now that the rain from yesterday has passed, i spent 3 hours washing, polishing and cleaning the interior of the car today.

Got a few pics of the back of the seats after giving them a little clean. One of my fave bits of the car :D
