Hi All,

New to the forum, I picked up my Ibiza FR TDI in January and for some reason it has taken me this long to start a thread.

Previously I had an MGTF 160, but due to starting a new job which required doing many more miles I decided to go to the darkside and I am loving the FR.

Sooo, my previous pride and joy...

And now my Ibiza FR as I brought it in January.

It is a 2008 and still a baby, only had 19k miles on it and it is in immaculate condition.

Since I brought it, I have done a few smaller comestic things to it:

New plates
FR Sport Plate surrounds
Cupra gloss black mirrors
Vinyl front bumper lip
Home Depot garage door sill front splitter
Seat logo dust valve caps
FR Badges on pillars
"ibiza FR" badges on dash
Cupra handbrake cover
Red cupra vent clips
Team Heko Wind Deflectors

Pics with the above all on below:

Then with the wind deflectors :)

Plans:

LCR Splitter - Brought (home depot splitter constantly needs straightening out)
White LED Festoons above rear plates - brought
Stage 1 remap (thinking P torque or Revo)
Rear spacers 15mm
Coilovers
Gloss black vinyl roof
Some decent car matts
TT Pedals

Now all I need is the funds and a kind insurance company.

Any advice on insurance companies as looking to remap my car come July and I am a law abiding citizen :p ?

If you want ideas for a red fr facelift I might have a couple in ky thread ;)

I wouldn't recommend p-torque, it's a map actually done by Tec tec and provided by angel tuning over the internet and not p-torque!! And it wasn't even that good a map from my experience and I'm glad to see the back of it. revo would be my choice from the 2 but there's 2 other companies I would recommend more but have been banned for various stupid reasons so I can't post in.threads but can over pm ;)

Nice car tho, not that I'm biased or anything.

That's Interesting know, I've only heard good things about P-Torque.... Maybe that's just for the 1.8t maps. I deff think Revo is the way to go though I agree, or CC.

my experience wasnt great at all, the car never really felt that quick or much of an improvement over standard, compared it many times against stage 1 maps from other tuners like Motech, revo, ***** CCtuning,****** etc and they all had better delivery further up the speedo and rev range, 'P-Torque' was underpowered and asmatic, and also the tuners themselves give you alot more confidence when you talk to them prior or after the sale. P-torque as a result feel Very average imo.

other experience I also know of many many very unhappy LCR owners that would happily gut him for bad advise which led to damage of their cars, poor maps (massive overfuelling being the main problem) poor service etc. So as much as I dare say there's alot of happy punters, theres also lot of unhappy ones.

anybody with a P-Torque map I would suggest for those who are interested just checking especially the generic maps.

This is purely my own experiences and that of friend and Imo, I would much rather spend the ££ at another tuner. The map cost me £250 as part of a group buy back in 2009.

Hi guys, not posted on here in ages. Had a stage 1 Revo remap, the improvement is significant the car is totally different to drive, but its not been on the rr so cannot be sure what it is running but it is very torquey. So since then I had to add a few subtle revo stickers :)

I've removed the garage door seal splitter, it began to sag in the wet weather, just need to get the lcr splitter fitted, heard its a bit of a pain to do?

Got a few more bits and pieces to add

Leather centre console armrest
Bonnet bra
Cupra gear gaitor (red stitching)
Red valve dust caps
Piper cross panel filter
Anodised black and red dresser washers (thanks fr matt for helping Sean find the correct bolt sizes)

Pictures to follow this week. Got the bug back so ill be updating more regularly.

Ps whose going to the rr day at dynodaze?
