Unfortunately I didn't manage to get any video's this weekend I just haven't been able to find a suitable place to open the taps up safely whilst having someone at the roadside filming it.

I did however (despite the hosepipe ban) manage to give the car a good clean.

I only use the car at weekends now and I'm glad as my wallet would be taking a serious bashing with the fuel economy but I suppose you don't build a car like this for the fuel economy. Managed to get it up to 22MPG on my run to lakeside the other day. <20 for around town driving.

Going to buy myself some shares in Shell this afternoon :D

They don't come with aero wipers as standard. Great upgrade though, work really well, love mine.

Dave at Sere for the centre cap James. Got a fresh set off him last year, great price and fast delivery :)

Car looks sweet mate.

SQS Gears

Been having a look at SQS gearsets recently, nothing serious yet but just wanted to see what the options are should I ever spit a gear, break the box, or go 4WD.

Been looking at the Long Ratio and the Boost Ratio kits they do. Here are a few stats. All set at 7800 RPM

Long Ratio

Code:
teeth	ratio	final drive km/h RPM - after gearchange	RPM -drop
1.gear	34	10	3.400	3.450	79.8
2.gear	31	12	2.583	3.450	105.0 5,926 -1,874
3.gear	28	15	1.867	3.450	145.3 5,636	-2,164
4.gear	26	18	1.444	3.450	187.8 6,036	-1,764
5.gear	22	15	1.467	2.760	231.2 6,336	-1,464
6.gear	22	18	1.222	2.760	277.5 6,500	-1,300

Boost Ratio

Code:
teeth ratio	final drive km/h RPM - after gearchange	RPM -drop
1.gear	29	9	3.222	3.450	82.1
2.gear	26	12	2.167	3.450	122.1 5,245 -2,555
3.gear	23	15	1.533	3.450	172.5 5,520	-2,280
4.gear	20	17	1.176	3.450	224.8 5,985	-1,815
5.gear	20	17	1.176	2.760	281.1 6,240	-1,560
6.gear	17	17	1.000	2.760	330.7 6,630	-1,170

Made me smile a bit 330Kph in 6th gear at 7800RPM, which in church of england is 206.68 Mph. Who would like to be in a leon at those speeds?
