Ive had no issues with my Heko ones the double sided tape that came on them were fine and the clips help too its probs all about where you place the clips that it gets a good strong hold and doesnt move about.

Where is the best place to put the clips as I will be getting a set in the next couple of weeks?

Also on warm days/strong sunlight, I noticed the sticky backing on these would soften up and the Deflector could slip out of the window channel a bit (but not fall out completely). Hence putting some decent tape on them to hold them more securely.

These kits seem to come with 2 or 4 metal clips (mine came with just 2)!

I dont have mine any more, sold them after seeing them fitted on chavved up Astras / Focus.
Dont want to end up tarred with that same brush. :fool:

The Heko ones in my opinion look far better

Just been to SEAT to have a look at their ones, and they say they don't exist, they've never heard of them..., and to be honest, I was about to order the HEKO ones anyway :)!

Also been to sh1trun (Citroen) for a stubby C2 aerial, which you'd never have guessed...they've never heard of! (Now ordered off eBay thanks to a part number from Tfsi_Mike!)

Anyway, on the up side of my trip, I managed to pick up my Meguiars NXT Gen Car Wash :D, so she'll be getting a good clean tomorrow!

I got mine from David at SERE motors, you can find him on here. Off the top of my head i think they were about £28. They have been on the car for about 12 months now and iv had no problems with funny noises or them falling down

My Heko ones arrived today and I fitted them.
The front ones had 4 clips and by the instructions it shows 1 clip fitted beside the morror facing front to back that one fitted fine.
It shows the 2nd one going at the rear part the up and down part but the clip wont stay in there or along the top as theres no recess can anyone help?

I placed my clips on the window, then put the window all the way up to clip them in place, and then pushed them up further. It seems to have worked ok :)

Number plate tape wasn't a great success. With it being spongy when squashed in place you could see a little bit of white between the wind deflector and window seal. So, promptly whipped the deflectors again :(

Interesting. The Number plate tape I picked up from B&Q (in the Tapes isle) has a dark green backing (that you peel off so its double sided), is just a couple of mm thick maximum. It wasnt a thick/spongy type.

But im sure its possible to buy it as different thicknesses. Agree you dont want to use a thick type, as it'll compress and deform, when the window is up or moving.

mine came today fantastic dead easy to fit I got 4 clips for the fronts 2 per side and 2 for the rear 1 per side
I actually pushed them in place first with a screwdriver then to ensure they were fully seated as I wound each widow up with the door open and a hand on both the inside and outside of the glass push up on it to assist the window to fully close :)
