Better than these things are ironed out and done properly now than once it's emptied its guts at Santa Pod, lol.

I'm sure this will be worth the wait bud.

Unfortunately we have run into a few more delays some down to me but some down to teething problems. I shall explain in no particular order;

The car has been running MASSIVELY lean this has been down to a combination of things the throttle body was not sitting flush to the adapter plate which in turn mounted to the intake mani. This was because there are a couple of small protrusions on the throttle body pushing it off the plate slightly. Machined the protrusions down and seals ok. Other leaks still under investigation

The fuel pump has been leaking at the fitment ends - My fault for not doing them up tight enough

What was thought to be an oil leak has been rectified. This stems from when I originally turned the car over to prime the engine without a blanking plate in the oil filter housing causing the engine to have oil splashed on it. This has been cleaned down and there are no oil leaks in the system.

The engine has been running very hot and this appears to be the infamous problem with the resistors in the fans. We are going to try and fool the ECU into switching on the fans at high speed when the temperature exceeds the low limit threshold as a temporary fix so that the car can be run without the worry of it overheating. Failing this we will be putting in a resistor pack to get it all working again.

The car is now oil and coolant tight, has been bought up to temperature but it can't keep itself at that temperature for very long due to the fans not kicking in at low speed. Bill recorded temps circa 108C without the fans kicking in and didn't want to let this rise any further to see if the high speed fans would kick in.

All these problems are to be expected with a fresh build like this, unfortunately it has obviously delayed the car and at this time a completion date can not be estimated.
