Some pictures from yesterday :

Up against a MK2 Escort, this was the first and only run on setting 8 of the TMC box. I ended up running a 15.3 as I was getting reduced power.

Fabia vs M12GTO......I was ready to get annihilated! Managed to get a real good start and the GTO couldn't put the power down. It finally caught me up down the straight but only beat me by 7 tenths.

This MK2 Fiesta was a little rocket ship, got pulled over after our race and told he had to wear a helmet as he was going too fast!

My favourite image ever at Pod! Been wanting a shot like this for years and Ian @ Blackett Photography (www.blackettphotography.com) took this shot for me. I bought the printed version as took a photo of it with my DSLR incase you wonder why the image is a little grainy.

Spent a little time today checking my oil :

And that got me thinking about the ITG kit and how I couldn't see where the cold air was coming from so it was changed from this :

To this :

Power delivery seems to be smoother, will have to wait until another Pod trip to see if it's made any difference.

that cold air feed looks better, when its stuck down side of engine bay you dont know if its getting any cold air, this is what put me off getting an induction kit, ive got the revo replacement filter in the standard air box

It's feeding from the back of the wing, which is a pressure fed area

Now you're sucking air over the radiator with a slightly more convoluted route

Probably a placebo difference IMO

Ahhh ok, thought it might help coming direct from the OEM feed rather than behind the headlight. Going to look more today at the intake from the cars slam panel.

Ideally you want a slightly longer trunk & drop it down behind the foglamp (but no need to point it forward)

If the induction kit could be turned 90 degrees so it's pointing forward that would be good

on my old boc im sure the battery was in the boot ? ? that was ideal for a decent induction kit

The newer model Cupra's/Boc's/Polo Gti's all have the battery in the boot so induction kits are easier to route, the vRS still hasn't changed :(. I did think about having the battery moved to the back of the car but it would cost a bit for an electrician to do it methinks.
